Inquisitors pass the series of trials by overcoming temptation and fortifying their willpower before they are deemed fit for futher ascention. Can you pass them all and become the next Overseer? Many have participated in this endurance experiment and came victorious, with variable results. There's no place for weakness or hesitation - they will only lead to the ruin.

Visit realms of Sin Lords and choose what to do with their power. Know that choices matter and will impact your experience in future and maybe even more. Where you will find yourself once this trial is over, Inquisitor?

This is mostly the limitation of key system that WFTO does use for both choice selection and level progression. The only option here is to let player reset the campaign and then tailor the choice system inside the special level designed for key management, which is what Hub World level does. The reason why I locked it behind ending because it made more sense to conclude your existing story and give some weight to choices.

Do note that if you chose to absorb every sin, you can still get to the ''good ending'' if you go on. Each ending has a different ''final home realm level'' which plays very differently compared to the rest. In terms of gameplay, you shouldn't really struggle much since the Sin Absorb Path gives you access to Underworld creatures at the cost of Outworld ones.

@Green.Sliche I had started play by absorbing every sin, on the assumption that they are somehow conquered that way. Turns out the campaign does not tick that way, it just complicates the general setup and I'd like to restart entirely with the opposite approach.
It's really annoying that I cannot do that. Now I'm stuck with a unit composition and a story that I never wanted, have to progress until the very last level, and I won't WANT to replay it all just to clear the record.
Frustrating.

Reset is possible when you complete the campaign ( a Hubworld is the level that allows you to reset and reconfigure the progress ).

Bonus objectives are spread on the map and usually are either in the center or at the corners. If you scout a bit using prophecy spell or revelation ritual you will figure out where they are located.

Once you learn the map layout, things will become significantly easier.

No way to reset the scenario and retry with a different approach whether to absorb or refuse the sins. Hopefully deleting and reloading will work.
An entirely different problem: There's no indicator where to find the bonus objectives, they tend to get found by others first in later levels but without an idea where to find them there's no way to win that race.

I'd like to remind players that the main objective is to destroy Blue Underlord's Core. In levels where there are other Underlords, player does not need to destroy them. This means you don't have to go for every enemy present on the map as objective clearly states who is your target. It's much smarter to make these enemies clash against your objective instead and wait for the right moment to strike. There's no restriction in Sin Levels so feel free to experiment.

Regarding narration - most of it is present in level description, as well as lore and story itself. I didn't include that in the level itself because apparently it would only distract player from the mission itself and since there's a global timer in the game, every second matters and players wouldn't want to be occupied or distracted by any means.

Regarding gateway - the moment you make a specific choice which will now allow Empire units to join you, the Outworld Gateway shall start spawning on every map in fixed location. Underworld gateway will always exist, even if you don't absorb any sin.

Level ends when you click on inhibitor that is hidden. Reveal it with prophecy and make a choice.

Level won't end on it's own just because you killed every enemy.
