Adds a new, stand-alone mission that involves going into a sector heavily infested by the Xsotan and clearing it out. Be careful - the Xsotan have a few surprises even for the most hardened of veteran captains.

Hello! It has come to my attention that this mod does not play well with HET. I will try and sort this out but in the meantime just know that it is the cause of having several hundred ships spawn in the sector.

If so it's also really funny that you passed up on wrecking havoc since that mission is... well, let's just say it has its benefits :)

It's been a while since I looked at HET. I'll see if it causes the summoner issue.

Are you neverasparename? I'm curious about some of your thoughts on the prototype battleship / dreadnought missions, but a comment thread on a completely unrelated mission might not be the best place to discuss it lmao. Feel free to ping me on either of those missions.

I think the only culprit I could see here is HET actually - so that might be an incompatibility?
Although as per my reddit thread I don't think I would ever use HET again.

Played this through again. It's literally using the vanilla summoner script. Are you using this with any mods that change how the summoners work?

That's definitely unintended behavior. Was it the infestor that spawned that many xsotan? Or was it just normal summoners that spawned in before the infestors spawned?

I'll try and pick the mission up again tonight - possible that I broke something in a recent update.

Took these missions twice, and both times it continued to spawn more and more Xsotan through rifts, on my first run it capped at 416 ships and 20 unstable wormholes before I escaped.
Second time I used commands to wipe the sector and more continued to spawn.

It looks like a normal xsotan, but slightly bigger.

I'll see if I can fix the issue with jumping out shortly after it spawns. Sorry for the late response. Steam didn't send me the notifications on these.

Did more testing on another one of the missions I found, and it seems to be related to either lag or jumping out of the sector as the or after the infestor spawns. On the broken mission, an infestor will never spawn however on the new one it spawned as expected after a few waves.
