Improved Intermodal Container Car

This is an upgraded version of my train car built to carry 11x59 shipping containers. It can also carry the standardized 11x29 shipping containers found in the game by default. This was a slightly impractical design that is not based on any real car as far as I know. The bulkheads on the ends would probably catch the edge of a container when loading or unloading the container. They were built as a way to climb on top of an 11 block tall container to either stack another container on top of it or to assist with connecting the container to a crane. The car was built to use my personal train system micro-controller and to work with my other cars and locomotives. It's longer than my previous intermodal car but it has lights and a very small assortment of personal equipment near the front of the car.

The front of the car has a lever to control the brakes for the car or the whole train if it is set as the lead vehicle. The top instrument panel is referred to as the "Direction Control Panel." It indicates whether this car is the leading car or controlling the brakes for the train or if it is being controlled remotely from another vehicle. The second switch on the panel indicates whether the controlling data is coming from the front connector or the rear connector. The bottom instrument panel shows the current number data being sent along the length of the train.
