v1.10.x


Adjusts all decrees and adds several new ones. These are more powerful and useful, designed to incentivise authoritarian playstyles and compete with company charters over authority.

Filled in the gap of 'encourage' decrees giving throughput bonuses and removes the mutual exclusivity between different 'encourage' decrees within the same state. The authority of most decrees is reduced to 75, while a few others are more expensive or cheaper for flavour and balance.

Thank you for the answer.

Since I have not modded Vic3 myself how would adding the line impact the mod? Meaning in case of future updates will Steam overwrite the line I'm adding with the new update or will I have to uninstall and reinstall the mod every time there is an update?

Also my reasoning for the suggestion was the Racial Segregation is the last law, which actively discriminates pops and potentially puts them in level I acceptance, therefore fitting with Ethnostate and National Supremacy compared to Cultural Exclusion and Multic. Of course if as you said you have a vision for the mod and this does not fit I will not insist.

It is one of my must-have and most favourite mods, thank you, great job! :Morale:

I think you can talk a lot of things in to making sense. It doesn't particularly match my vision for it, but feel free to edit the file and add in a new line for law_racial_segregation

Would it be possible to expand the "Encourage Violent Hostility" to also be available under "Racial Segregation" law? It still makes sense given how such regimes have functioned and the intended purpose of the decree.

@猫 Vanilla now makes that decree assimilate pops in their homeland, so I made this version do the same.

Unified Italy via unification play, and the devastation took a few years for construction to even be viable again in Venice and Lombardy. Any thoughts on adding some sort of a reconstruction decree which reduces devastation by like 1.5% per tick at the cost of say 15 construction or something?

I would just like to see something that gives players greater agency in rebuilding after wars.

@Taylor I tried using this mod with bpm, the decree part works fine, but something is wrong with authority mechanic, as long I put one decree every IG have -10 relation debuff as if I have full negative authority

@Taylor Thank you very much for the quick response! I have Ethnostate enacted and have researched Nationalism and do not have Guaranteed Liberties or any similar law enacted. To clarify: the Civic Suppression decree appears in my game even when it cannot be used due to lack of suitable laws, but the Encourage Violent Hostility does not appear in the ribbon at the bottom of the screen under any circumstances. If I didn't see the icon for it in the tech tree under Nationalism, I would think that it wasn't in the game at all.

Thank you for also confirming that the Encourage Values decree is coded exactly the same as vanilla.

@Noobie Decrees only appear if you don't have disallowing laws and have required techs, so Encourage Violent Hostility needs nationalism + ethnostate or national supremacy. While I don't want to deny what you are experiencing yourself with the Encourage Values decree not assimilating homeland pops, it is coded to do so in the exact same way that vanilla's decree does, so if its not working then there is perhaps a vanilla bug.
