Lag/crash? Try some of this:
In your "Steam library" right-click "Mr. Bree+" and select "Properties"
Go to the "Local files tap" and select "Browse local files"
That will open the folder with the game in it.
Right-click "MrBree(.exe)" and choose "properties"
then go to the ''Compatibility tap'' and check the box with
"Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
And set it for "Windows 7"
You might also wanna check the
''Run this program as administrator'' box.
(The default directory for Mr. Bree+ on Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MrBree+)

Check if you're up to date:
http://www.adobe.com/uk/downloads/.html
Download: Adobe Flash Player, and Adobe AIR to your system.

Check/reinstall game files:
In your "Steam library" right-click "Mr. Bree+" and select "Properties"
Go to the "Local files tap" and select "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"
If that does not help, try and uninstall the game, and then reinstall it.

Controller problems? Try this:
Go to "Devices and Printers"
Right-click the controller and click "Game controller settings"

Click the "Advanced" button (with the controller highlighted if there's more than one on the list)

On the drop-down list, select your controller (if not already selected).

Ps. It seems that having a controller plugged can make it lag. (at least for me)
