Do you perhaps have your fps set on unlimited or uncapped? If that's the case, Your PC might be working its CPU off on maximum and probably overheating because of that. I know an answer coming three and a half years after you have posted this is a bit ironic, But still, I hope it'll help if you haven't figured it out yet!
