Intro


On 25th October 2022, a Major Update was released for Mr. Mine.

This update, Super Miner Update, introduced new a new game play feature called, you guessed it, Super Miners.

These Super Miners are a way of Buffing your current mining experience, and will help you speed up your progress. As well as these Super Miners, a new Chest Type, the Ethereal Chest, was introduced.

There were other things included in the update (which can be read here at the Change Log), but we are going to focus on the Super Miners and what they have to offer.
Where to get Super Miners
Super Miners are found as a reward in Ethereal Chests.

Ethereal Chests can be compressed in the new Chest Compressor, and it cost 3 Gold Chests to create 1 Ethereal Chest. They can also spawn in the world, and be collected like any other chest in-game.

Not every Ethereal Chest contains a Super Miner. Sometimes you will be rewarded with Super Miner Souls.
Super Miner Management
The Super Miners building is located at a depth of 10km on Earth. From here you will be able to manage your Super Miners.

Once in this building,you will see all of your current Super Miners, how many Souls you have to spend, and how many Super Miner Slots are filled.

You can get Souls by from Ethereal Chests, Scientist Missions, and Scraping current Super Miners.

With these souls, you will be able to more Super Miner Slots or Upgrade your current Super Miners.

Types of Super Miners
There are 10 Types of Super Miners:
  • Mining (mineral) - Increases miner speed at its depth by a %
  • Mining (isotope) - Increases the number of isotopes mined on its depth by a %
  • Buff - Every X minerals it mines it grants a buff.
  • Drilling - Jumps on your drill and increases the mining speed by a %
  • Seller - Automatically sells x amount of the selected mineral every second.
  • Egg - Passively gains experience and levels up for free, increasing its scrap amount. (gaining you more super miner souls) Note: apparently gains exp only when you're online.
  • Chest - Increases chest spawns on its current depth and 2 depths above and below.
  • Deposit - Increases mineral deposit spawn chance by X and cap by Y.
  • Booster - Increases the effect of the super miners it bumps into.
  • Reward - grants a random reward every X minerals.
and across these type of Miners there are 4 Different Rarity Levels; Common, Uncommon, Rare & Legendary.
Mineral Miners
The amount that a Mining Super Miner increases the mining speed is based on the Super Miners' level. All Mining Super Miners change depth in the world every 6 minutes.

There is currently only one Super Miner that increases the amount of Isotopes mined. Like all other Mining Boosting Super Miners, they also change depth every 6 minutes.

Seller Miners
Seller miners will sell x amount of a selected mineral every second.
They will default to selling Coal, but this can be changed in the Super Miner Building. You can select any Mineral or Isotope that has been discovered.

    (1 hour worth of a random mineral, up to the highest mineral unlocked)
  • 1 Ticket

Conclusion
The new Super Miners feature in the game adds a whole new aspect of game play to Mr Mine.

From what I have seen, this seems to be the first step in the new feature, with comments within the game files of changes and additions possible in the future.

It has already assisted my game play, increasing the minerals mined, and speed of my drill, which seemed to have stagnated before this update.

For now, I think it is a welcome addition and I am looking forward to seeing it grow.

there is no hard limit to how many you can have - at least none that would be reachable without modding/cheating.
You just need more and more souls to unlock more slots and when the best you can have is a legendary egg for like 5k souls but the upgrade would cost >50k souls and each egg takes weeks to months to hatch?

@Armstrong I'm not sure sorry. This guide was released when the Super Miners first came out. Since then there have been updates and I have not kept this guide relevant.

How many super miners can you control at 1 time? 13? 15? im tempted to sell one of my egg miners early to max out slots. I possess 11 at the moment.

@Corrall In regards to Booster, from my understand it doesn't need to physically collide with the other Super Miners, just be on the same level to give the bonus.

With Zaoli, I don't have an answer for you, sorry. I haven't delved that deep into the code to see if he should/shouldn't show what Isotope is being mined

Does Zaouli show the isotopes being mined like the rest of the super miners? and is booster
good for anything? He jumps over miners instead of running into them.
