What is this?
A fix for some of the odd little neologisms (made up words!) that plague BioTech, particularly as relates to "sanguophages." The following things have been changed.
  • All references to Hemogen are replaced with Blood.
  • All references to Sanguophages are replaced with Vampires.
  • All references to Deathrest are replaced with Torpor.
Okay, but why?
Personally, I just don't get Tynan's obsession with painting the thinnest veneer of sci-fi over everything in the game. Anne Rice and Bram Stoker aren't going to suddenly rise from the grave and sue Tynan out of existence for copyright infringement, and putting weird names on everything doesn't make it more original. There's perfectly good words and concepts for all of the things related to sanguophages in BioTech, so I figured I would just make a big XML patch to change it all.

If you're still interested in the XML Extensions stuff, let me know and I can put some more work into seeing about getting it working again. Trying to handle conditional conditional conditionals was breaking my brain, but if there's significant demand I may put more time into it.

I get this so much, I don't hate the Idea of Archotechs but when they're behind almost everything it sucks the wind out of the sails, whenever the game is like "oh you don't have psychic powers it's the Archotechs using the powers." or especially anomaly's "so it was actually an Archotech the entire time." i just get exhausted and stop getting invested the world and that sucks because ignoring the Archotechs the world is so fun with psycasts, dryads and dark rituals.

TL;DR Rimworld is a blatant space fantasy that so insistent it's sci-fi it hurts.

@RE4_Merchant it should indeed work just fine on a pre-existing game. When I was developing it I tested it all in Dev Quicktest and then dropped it straight into my existing game with several vampires.

Added the 1.6 tag to the mod, folks! No functional changes this time that I've seen, but we don't know if Odyssey might throw around some odd terminology. Please report any instances of the words "Sanguophage" "Hemogen" or "Bloodrest" once it's out! Cheers everyone.
