Lore of Athel Loren

Similar to many other factions Wood Elves had access to a faction specific magic lore, called the Lore of Athel Loren (in 6th Edition). In the Creative Assembly blog post last July which announced the existence of the most recent Wood Elf DLC ( https://www.totalwar.com/blog/dev-blog-july-2020/ ) they showed a figure suggesting that owners of the original Wood Elf DLC would get access to a new lore of magic (seperate from the introduction of High and Dark lores as these were new-DLC specific). Unfortunately we never got to see what this lore could be but many speculated that it would be the revival of the original the lore of Athel Loren.

Here is my interpretation of this lore in game. It is available exclusively to Wood Elves as a selectable lore option for Spellweavers and Spellsingers. Because it is from an older edition I took some creative and mechanical liberties as attributes (the passive) and overcasting didn’t exist back then.

Lore Attribute - Glamourweaving
Channeling the weave of Athel Loren innately calls glamour magic to cloak friendly units from enemy vision when sufficiently far enough away.

Tree Singing:
Summons a magical forest which provides the same stat advantages and disadvantages to fighting in forested terrain. Wood elven units get a bonus and enemy large units get a malus (does not stack with forest terrain). Very low cooldown so 1 forested area can be maintained the whole battle.

Fury of the Forest:
A weak blast of natural energy awakens all trees in a large radius causing all enemies still standing in a forest to be assaulted for large amounts of damage until they can escape.

Hidden Path:
Opens the hidden world-root paths for a unit, providing them with unimpeded stealthy movement and shooting. Can be overcast to effect multiple units.

Twilight Host:
Spawns an illusionary unit that does no damage but inflicts morale damage with their arrows and charges. Can be overcast to summon illusionary great stag knights instead of waywatchers.

Ariel’s Blessing
The nearby woodlands are channeled, both shaping branches into perfect arrows and mending wounds. Replenishes health and ammo to units.

The Call of the Hunt
Used on a friendly unit to give a large charge speed and charge bonus increase whilst making the unit susceptible to attack and rampaging. Can be overcast to effect enemies when you need them to rampage.

Compatibility:
Should be compatible with most mods as it mainly adds new things instead of changing current tables, please let me know if any incompatibilities occur. Loading this mod after them should resolve those issues, as I only make minor cosmetic changes which can be overwritten without causing gameplay bugs.
