Colt M4A1 with ACOG from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Needs no introduction, the most basic American assault rifle, featured in every other modern military shooter game. The M4 Carbine is basically a shortened M16A4, including the railed flat top with a carrying handle mounted on it, while the M4A1 variant has no burst limiter.


The SIG slot has rather strict limitations with the length of its sounds, and there's not many of them to begin with. Thankfully, TLS added at least its own deploy sound which can be used for something else, like the mag-in in this case. It's a good thing the deploy animation of this set pulls the bolt and so does the reload, so everything just works out perfectly. The ACOG is mounted onto the carry handle, which is how it was originally designed. We don't have to worry about the cheek weld in-game and it's good for variety. Interestingly enough, the first person models of the M4A1 in CoD4 have a vertical grip (or a grenade launcher) and no rail covers, while the third person models have rail covers instead. That carried over into this mod.
