If you want to go mining before you have a Mine. You can take More Ore, Stone, Salt etc. then your Body able to.

What you need.
At least a Medium Wicker basket = 8 Sticks in the Workshop.
You can use a smaller one but not for stones.

Take your Basket in your Poket and go to a Cave. (You can do it with other Items to like Onions, karots etc... not only with stones and ores.)

Go in your inventory and let your basket fall to the ground (X). Go mining. If your pockets are filled with stones and ores, go back to the basket and let fall your stuff in the Basket. The full stack. Go back mining. When full, back to the Basket, grab your stuff out of the Basket so you can now let fall a bigger stack.

Now you can Walk back to your Village with a massive amount of Stuff.
