EK Utility Balance Patch Lite Redux Pro 2023

A simple patch for EK Utility that tries to balance its most blatantly overpowered items (safe punj@bi no v1rus)

For all its flaws EK series is a labor of love, and a huge one at that. Sadly the beauty of its sprites and fluidity of its integration are often glanced over due to its unforgivabble imbalance.




1. Crates are no longer sold on outposts or found on missions.

2. Inventory-extending items have been nerfed:
Utility pouch: 8 slots, 1-item stacks -> 4 slots, 8-item stacks, less type limits
Mining Backpack: 20 slots, -15% ms -> 8 slots, -25% ms (like storage container used to craft it)
Medical Backpack: 16 slots, -10% ms -> 8 slots, -20% ms
Cargo Mule: 4 crate slots -> 2 crate slots
(movement speed penalties do not stack, the greater one is used [source not stated])
3. Alternative welding/cutting equipment can no longer spawn on missions
