Update 0.16 ships a new system named streamer mode, this is designed to be used by streamers playing the game to show information of the song they are currently playing on their streams.

To do this, the game will output to your user folder a number of assets, including properly resized and scaled images and metadata of the song being played.

This system does not:

• Create an overlay for you to use in your streams
  
• Work magically, you still have to set it up in OBS or whatever software you use

With that out of the way, let's learn how to use it.

To enable streamer mode simply enable it in the game tab inside the options menu.

To test this, you should start a song to ensure the images are created on disk, after that it's as simple as dragging and dropping the image to the stage, it will be automatically reloaded as needed. (For your convenience, PH replaces it with an invisible image when not playing a song).

I suggest experimenting with masks to replace parts of your streaming UI with artwork from the song you are playing!


To show a text file on screen, you can simply create a text label and tell OBS to load it from a file.
