Black Mesa G-Man Sightings
This guide will detail every sighting of the G-Man in Black Mesa.

This guide contains spoilers.
Black Mesa Inbound

On Gordon's ride to work, look over to your left just as you get to the room with the leaking nuclear waste. G-Man will be in a opposite train.
Anomalous Materials

Before getting the HEV suit, keep going left. Eventually you’ll find G-Man arguing with a scientist in a adjoining room.
Unforeseen Consequences

In the room with some houndeyes, look up as you enter and he’ll be watching Gordon.
Office Complex

A bureaucrat's natural environment. Near the end of this chapter, before you go into the room where you make the jump to the ladder in the elevator shaft, look to your right through a door’s window. G-Man will walk into shot and then leave.
We’ve Got Hostiles

After you save (or don’t) the scientists from the turrets in the water, look up before you deal with the trip-mine. He will be standing on a catwalk.
Power Up

Right at the beginning of the chapter, before sprinting across the large room; look up at the control room. G-Man is still watching Freeman.
Apprehension

In the room with the moving platforms; while still in the water, look up and you should be able to see him on the walkway you need to get to.
Questionable Ethics

This sighting is unique to Black Mesa; it is not in the original game. In the room where you can release and then electrocute some aliens (what was the point of these tests?), you can see G-Man looking out through a window above.
Lambda Core

During the portal segment of this chapter (after turning on the reactor), and just after meeting the Barney in this area. Look through a window to see him heading into a portal.

The G-Man is an enigmatic and mysterious character that appears in nearly every title of the Half-Life series. Referred to as a "sinister inter-dimensional bureaucrat", he is known to display peculiar behaviour and wield reality-bending powers.

The G-Man's identity and motives remain unexplained. His allegiance is also unknown to this day, although he and his Employers are apparent enemies to the Combine and are seen as a threat by them. Playing the role of an overseer and eventual employer, he often appears in odd and unreachable places, observing Gordon Freeman and other characters, periodically aiding or hindering them.
