this appears to be broken. Infecting an enemy doesnt count as killing them, and softlocks you in contracts or other wave modes.

Yeah, I find it interesting that when arena characters do the Zed execution the converted ones inherit the armor from the character file and not what you have currently equipped. I'm guessing the same goes for stats, using the ones from the spreader's character file instead of their current stats, since you said the converted are weaker. I think the same goes for skills.
This is good when you want to make a Zed origin that doesn't magically give armor to the infected!

The Butcher's origin concept is that the character(host) doesn't have conscience, but the virus itself.

That's why I didn't really set any armor to the character file, since the virus only cares of infecting 'suitable' targets, not what clothes they are wearing.

How come the infected don't inherit your armor? Usually when you convert someone they also gain your armor pieces, even if it overlaps their own. I think the converted use the armor from the character fille, and arena characters have no armor defined in their character file, those are given in the origin file.
