Knox's Proficiency Plugin: Shock Trooper

描述
Shock Troopers specialize in Shotguns and Arcthrowers, they get wide access to Grenade utility and Combat perks that keep them in close quarters.

Proficiency: Frontline Training
Rank 1:
  • Gain Breaching Maneuver
  • Gain Take Cover
  • Gain 5 Defense
Rank 2:
  • Gain Trench Warfare
  • Certain Arcthrower Abilities are 1 action
  • Gain 2 Mobility
Rank 3:
  • Gain Quick Load - Hunkering Down reloads 1 ammo.
  • Primary Attacks now Shred targets
  • Gain 25 Crit Chance

Class Trees:
Pointman - Perks that keep the Shock Trooper in the fray, up close and personal.
Grenadier - Perks that give the Shock Trooper more utility with the Grenades they are provided.
Arcthrower - Perks that buff the Shock Trooper's Arcthrower, being able to stun more targets sooner.

Pointman:
  • (Sq): Frontline Training
  • (Cpl): Run and Gun
  • (Sgt): Lightning Reflexes
  • (Lt): Charge!
  • (Cpt): Untouchable
  • (Maj): Thousands to Go
  • (Col): Recharge

Grenadier:
  • (Sq): Riot Control
  • (Cpl): Watch Them Run
  • (Sgt): Total Combat
  • (Lt): Breaching Entry - Upgrades Prep for Entry, no longer reduces throw range when used.
  • (Cpt): Proximity Explosives - Grants 2 Proximity Mines.
  • (Maj): Concussion Grenades
  • (Col): Grenade Belt - Gain 3 unique grenade types on Cooldown that don't damage teammates and most grenades gain an extra charge.

Arcthrower:
  • (Sq): Rapid Stun
  • (Cpl): Sparkstriker
  • (Sgt): Arc Pulser
  • (Lt): Overcharged Capacitors
  • (Cpt): Spare Battery
  • (Maj): Chain Lightning
  • (Col): That's Close Enough

XCOM:
  • (Sq): Prep for Entry
This class comes with 12 different AWC perks in the XCOM tree, improving how the Shock Trooper is played.

GTS Perks:
  • Frontline Drills I - Available at Proficiency Rank 2
  • Frontline Drills II - Available at Proficiency Rank 3

Credits:
  • Shiremct and MrCloista - I learned a lot by looking into the code they have made and learned how to make my own class because of it, they all make really cool Proficiency Classes.

  • Dies Irae - Same as above, I learned how to make these classes because of him, he makes great classes. Also assisted in fixing GTS Perks

  • Malek_Deneith, LordAbizi, Iridar, and Xymanek - Provided the equivalent of tech support, and is the reason I was able to get this class working.

  • Everyone's mods that mine requires - Literally couldn't exist without them, they are talented modders.

Oh I see, thanks. I thought you made a custom version of the ability because the description mentions the class, but I suppose it actually has some sort of tag to display the current class name.

Well since it's easy to try, I'll just do it and see. Thanks again for the quick answer!

This is because Run and Gun is from shiremct's Proficiency Pack Assault Class, that class can use both Shotguns and Bullpups, but for the Shock Trooper, I never have gave it the ability to use Bullpups.

I do not know if allowing the Shock Trooper to use the Bullpup will reduce the cooldown as I have never tested it, but doing so should never break the ability.

In order to add it to the class, go to the Shock Trooper's XComClassData.ini, near the top of the page you'll see"+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_Primary Weapon, Weapon Type="shotgun")" copy and paste that directly under it and replace "shotgun" with "bullpup" and this will allow the class to also equip a Bullpup.

Hey, got a question about the Run&Gun perk: it says the Shock Trooper can equip lighter weapons, such the bullpup, to reduce the long cooldown. However I can only equip shotguns, was it changed?

I suppose I only need to add a line in XComClassData, similar to the one for the shotguns, to allow it. Has anyone tried, and if so, does it work well (the build in general, and the cooldown reduction)?

a cool proficiency class idea is something akin to XCOM1's assault class a frontline soldier specializing in pistols and shotguns

@Drakten This is normal behavior for Run and Gun as it is the one from Proficiency Pack. I do not know exactly where, but I know shiremct stated it IS intentional for his Run and Gun to break concealment.

Hey Knoxx. Just had a shock trooper activate run and gun and it broke concealment. Is that normal behavior?

Does this actually require proficiency pack?...PSYCH!...you know, since I was annoying you most of today checking that on other classes :p

Your proficiency classes come highly recommended, and I'm looking forward to giving them a try. I appreciate that you attempted to adapt them to this new standard of classes design, but didn't necessarily stay in the same lines of balance (I feel the Proficiency Classes are a little too tame). Everything I have read about your classes looks good and excited to try them out. Cheers!

At the current moment, I'm in a planning phase making ideas so once I'm done with the finishing polish on some of my classes. I plan on atleast releasing 1 unique (non-hero type) class at some time this or next month if everything goes as planned.

Did you updated this class pack Knoxxx? Nooo I had edits to this class. Oh well the changes are interesting to give it ago.

Also are you planning making more Plugins? I understand if you don't since Modding I know takes alot of time. But you classes plugins are great, I love what did with Alpha Rocketeer class.
