Mi'ri (Little Fins)

Lore:

Mi'ri are small fish found in most aquatic environments of the Tr'allanga home world.

These creatures are an essential part of the planets aquatic ecosystem; mainly being food for other animals; but they also regulate the population of small insects, algae, and certain parasites.

Mi'ri survive by moving in large groups and have a lightly armoured body to protect them from predators that are around a similar size.

These fish can live for 6-7 years and become sexually mature adults at just a year old; able to reproduce every 6 months.

When reproducing; the female will attach her eggs to her under side and males will fertiliser them by spraying clouds of their sperm at the female.

Once fertilised the eggs only take a few days to fully develop and hatch; once hatched the babies will join the group and move with it.

Also; if two groups of Mi'ri encounter each other; both will pass through one another; often swapping around group members in the process.

Either that or just merging into a bigger group if both are particularly small.
