Sarge: The Demoman. Typically play him with the objective that he hits people the most and hits other people the most. The Demoman is very popular with Minions and places a large focus on mobility. He tends to have a big head and arms which allows him to throw grenades with ease. He can still throw grenades even if his arms are full of grenades. If you played the Warhead Demoman, you will recognize him from the wallpaper.The average, but talented, Demoman. A leader of many Demoman teams is the Medic. He has an unfortunate mental handicap, but makes up for that with amazing heals, traps, and supports. He is good at masking that disability with the help of the other Minions.The same as the Medic, but instead of masks he uses traps. He tends to play with a sniper rifle, and tends to be useful at long range. His leg traps allow him to chase people or keep someone in one spot. He is pretty easy to play. The Half-Blonde Medic of MLF4L fame.

Demoman is an explosive class in TF2. His main weapons are the flamethrower and the cutlass. His secondary weapon is a taser that fires a two-second burst. He can carry both the flamethrower and the taser.

If you fancy trying Demoman, then you should be at the Dutch Overwatch Contenders. The tournament is already underway, but only three teams will progress to the playoffs and then a LAN finals. The current record for total kill-death ratio at the Dutch event is held by not one, but two players from one team. The big man of the team, Rami ‘Insanity’ Charagh, has a staggering amount of kills compared to the rest of the team. An astonishing 91.2k to 31.7k.

Very few TF2 players consider playing the Demoman as a serious option, probably due to the increasing prevalence of other classes. However, it is a very viable pick up, for many of the same reasons that the Soldier can be considered:

+3 damage on all weapons

+3 damage on all heads

+2 damage on all lights

+6 damage on all explosives

+5 damage on all shrapnel

+3% damage taken on health regen

+3% headshot damage

+3% damage taken on % headshot

+25% movement speed

+15% jump height

+25% jump height with rocket launcher

+7% damage resistance

+7% jump height without the rocket

In Tf2, Demomans Competitive Capabilities are very strong, enabling a rather dominate advantage in the early stages of the game. The guy that has the fastest click 4 in the game is going to get ahead of the others quite a bit. The other players that they have to push around will have very low Penetration values, and they’ll be constantly punted out of the game by Demoman quick kills, and they have the best Indomitable when it comes to offense and defense.

In Tf2, The Demoman is very strong, of course, but there are many ways to counter or kill him. Here is how to counter the demoman:

If he falls in an area with hidden exits, you can kill him pretty easily.

Spray and Pray - In Hardcore on Inferno, the flare is the best tactic when you are playing the medic. But in lower difficulties, you may need to swap the flare to a timer and then use the timer to your advantage. If you are in a good position, you can drop the timer and then spam the flare to disable his whirling laser.

Kill the Auto-Demos

These demoman characters are sometimes you are not allowed to just stand next to. For example: you cannot snipe from 25 meters away, you can’t double-jump, etc. so a good method to counter is to use the Hover. It is easy to land on them, and kill them very quickly. The Demos Bullet Kills increases the damage of his bullets when he kills a medic so if you get him in range of the medic, he will deal a lot of damage. When he drops the flashbang, you are also ready to get it for yourself.

Don’t Over-Preparation - Not preparing too much for a battle is never a good idea. Know what you are doing, but don’t over-prepare. Over-preparation causes over-confidence, and that is exactly what you want to avoid. Just like with the Pyro, be sure to research your combos.

The most overpowered thing about the Demoman in tf2, its that he can kill someone by simply turning his Butt around and wacking the target in the rump with it. He wont even necessarily get a kill from this, as usually the people he can kill are highly CC'd, but moreso just because there are so many super tiny bits of kit involved. Lmao. If you kill someone in this way and look at their bum you will die laughing every time. Demoman: pointbutt While mowing down foes with a FIST. Guessing now that the fist was his weapon of choice.

Lmao so apparently , the demomen are the snotbags of the world?

In a map like cp_hell, where your base is a secret well with stairs in it.

Can get away with this without dying.

Not a tonne of funny stuff about demomen, i reckon i'm just better at thinking of silly jokes about demomen than anyone else i know. The most overpowered thing about the Demoman in tf2, its that he can kill someone by simply turning his grenade launcher around and wacking the crap out of his opponents

The Demoman has many weaknesses. In Tf2, all classes do, but here is how to not die:

1. Always keep your team alive. You have two vehicles for that, a gun and a grenade.

2. Know the map. Try to keep an eye on your team and have a plan for when they are caught out.

3. Keep calm and don’t panic, keep moving and try to prevent your team from dying.

4. Be as sneaky as possible. Go behind a wall and pretend you’re going to go outside. See how they react. If they kill you, retreat, you don’t want to lose a friendly.

5. Get kills, don’t get no style points.
6. Be a team player. Your team is here for you, make sure they are safe and get kill credit when you’re not destroying the point.

7. Never let up, you’re playing for points and you don’t want to take a break and let your top score fall to 0.
