The gun seems to eject spent casings directly forward, I don't remember it doing that before the update but maybe I missed it.

it doesnt possibly fires 50. GI like the description says
it actually fires .30 carbine according to the IMFDB,
Its actually based on a real world prototype in 30. Carbine, The idea was basically part of the assault rifle concept at the time.
