This MOD[www.nexusmods.com] from NexusMods (I'm not the author) will fix many UI issues and is highly recommended.
Then please add also my EXTRA FIXES below to integrate and fix some extra bugs...

EXTRA FIXES
Installation
Install first the mod above: '00. BS1RM - GUI Fixes Pack - Main' and then overwrite files in the Bioshock directory
...BioShock Remastered\ContentBaked\pc\FlashMovies
with my latest fixes for 'hacking' and 'sharedlibrary' swf files you'll find in my OneDrive archive for Bioshock Remastered[1drv.ms].

Extra Fixes History
1. fixed a small line still visible in the upper part of Help screen when hacking f.e. Circus of Values on 1920x1080 screen
2. fixed font text for non-English and non-Russian languages showing empty squares for missing foreign chars (è, ü, etc.)
3. removed ugly black layer on the right from Logs and Radio recordings animations
4. fixed MouseButton4 and MouseButton5 glyphs for non-English languages as shown in the pic below:

Since 31 August 2022, 2K forced a new update injecting their extra 2K Launcher... the problem is that game files have also been altered (but the build version and bugs were unchanged!). This means these mod fixes might still work or not! Recommended to roll back to previous Bioshock Steam distribution, see my other guide: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2860914988

Does that mod fix also the other things in my Extra Fixes (e.g. extra mouse buttons for non-English players)?
Localization fixes from Nexus is not enough: won't fix extra chars for non-English (e.g. Italian accented vowels àèìòù etc.). My extra fixes, in addition to Nexus mod covers everything.

I'm not sure your given hint is a "better" solution. Moreover rolling back can be required since some files have changed from the past, and some mods still rely on the old version (hence a roll-back is still a better solution for compatibility, even if 2K Launcher has been removed in the latest update).

The 2K Launcher has been removed. I'd recommend only downloading the Localization Fixes from Nexus and using this mod instead for GUI fixes: https://www.moddb.com/mods/a-gui-mod-for-bioshock-remastered

No there is no fix as far as I know. But I wouldn't consider it a "bug": it's more a cinematic effect even some movies in the real world may have (yes, only on widescreen in this case. I know and understand your point of view...)

Yep you can. Just backup them, let them be updated and then copy the old backup over the updated version (keep the 2KLauncher dir since now Steam won't launch BioshockHD.exe directly... or use a symlink)

Can I do this by making copies of my Bioshock Remastered 1 and 2, and Infinite? I have not downloaded the update yet, and I am wondering what my options are.
