Here is how to play it over the internet.
(Not with Tunngle, it doesn't work with Next Car Game)

Download and set up LAN Bridger

Well, let's get started.
The first step is to download and install LAN Bridger:
http://www.lanbridger.com/download

After the installation is done, We will have to join to the Next Car Game network
(Thanks to Pettingson for hosting :D)
So open LAN Bridger and click Join a network

You can find open LAN Bridger rooms here: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/groups/NCG423#announcements
You will have to open the LAN Bridger link(ex: http://www.lanbridger.com/n/gc17FfPW ) and allow the browser to open LAN Bridger and find the network for you.

You will get this screen:

Type NCG in the password field, press Go and you are in!

Next time you join the network just choose NextCarGame network from the profile dropdown menu and type in the password.

How to join the game through the garage

In this part of the guide you will learn how to join the game
this is very simple, Just open Next Car Game, click the 'Multiplayer' button,
in the server list,
click 'Search Lan' and you will find all the games hosted on the LAN Bridger network you are connected to.
Enjoy :)
Games may be a little laggy, It's just the pre-alpha, and LAN play. but If you connect to someone in your region and not someone who is too far from you, the game will be mostly playable

If LAN Bridger service stops

The LAN Bridger service often stops. To start
it again press Windows Key+R and Type in the box services.msc
Find the LAN Bridger service and click on 'Start the service'

Is there any new version or way to play LAN multiplayer on wreckfest? especifically with one steam account on 2 or more PCs

There is multiple programs to make 'direct connections',

but for public gaming (with a list of online servers/rooms, to play not only with known friends), since Tunngle and Evolve have closed, currently is, only pLan (.. OpenVpn) and gameRanger.

While gameRanger currently has disadvantages like game auto{starting/closing}, rooms auto-locking, players limit equal to 1 ingame-server's max, and strict game selection, pLan needs players a lot, please joing us to play together.
