I have been playing this scenario for 4 days 100% vanilla and it is not as hard as some have posted. If you feel this is unplayable then you are not using your head. When it says it's a hard start you have to think differently for example not driving full speed or keeping your distance to test for turrets. I have found 4 locations on the first planet and already have a starting base with the essentials from collecting while getting to the jump drive location.
A true nearly impossible start is to make a small block base to survive and barely find enough resources to make a full-scale refinery then scrap it for an assembler until you have enough to do both without the survival kit then make a mistake forcing a start-over. This is not an impossible scenario but is hard.
Good scenario for multiplayer, but sadly, crap for single-palayer.
Thanks for the rapid response, BTW!
