Adds Sogdiana, led by Varkhuman, to the game as a custom civilization. Though they never controlled a single centralized state, the Sogdians ruled a number of ancient and medieval city-states at the heart of the Silk Road, including Samarkand, Bukhara, and Panjikant. Requires Brave New World.

UNIQUE ABILITY: GOLDEN PEACHES OF SAMARKAND

When trading with a foreign Capital, gain copies of Great People generated in that city. Each type of Great Person tile improvement provides an extra Trade Route slot when first built.

UNIQUE UNIT: SABAO

Replaces the Great Merchant. May build either a Customs House or a Manufactory. Customs Houses created by a Sabao increase the nearest friendly city’s Trade Route range by 20%.

UNIQUE BUILDING: SHAHRISTAN

Replaces the Caravansary. Increases Great People generation by 5% for every Trade Route originating from its city (max. 20%).
