Officially brought to you by a (former) real live Terra Invicta developer! :^)

DISCLAIMER: This mod is not officially supported by Pavonis Interactive in any way, and is purely a fan work being created on my own initiative.

This mod is a work in progress, new waifus (and husbandos) are being added as I get around to doing them.

As of v7, all of the original 3D councillor portraits have been disabled, so players will no longer need to live with 3DPD alongside their 100 wholesome 2D.

Also technically these are characters from VNs and not anime, but whatever lol.

Updates to the mod should add new images to existing games in progress. You may need to re-subscribe or re-enable the mod before Steam updates it properly.

@Kangurek2011 Okay, can you navigate to this directory in your installation:
Terra Invicta\Mods\Enabled\Tayta's Anime Councilors
And check that the file `tayta_councilors` is present.

I have the same issue where the otraits are empty. I did download it through the ingame mod manager but the issue persists. Ther player.log says
"Bundle not found! bundle name: tayta_councilors" multiple times.

I tested it again with a fresh download from Steam and it works fine on my end.
I'd suggest going to steamapps\common\Terra Invicta\Mods\Enabled, deleting the Tayta's Anime Councilors folder, and then using the in-game interface to redownload the mod.
If the issue persists, I'd suggest finding your Player.log file to see which assets can't be found by the game.

the portraits are not working anymore with version 0.4.78 and i am asking on how to fix it and add more portraits please teach

Did anybody find a solution to empty portraits? The problem seems to go as far as flags for me...
