Genshin 2.7 got delayed so I suddenly had some free time.

Set language to Japanese through Steam.
Install this.[drive.google.com]
Install this (optional). [rask-soft.com](Alternate Google Drive link since the first link is a ddl which Steam may not like.[drive.google.com])

DL link will always be latest version as per changelog.[docs.google.com]

  • 11th September 2022: Started going through with Teepa and making changes as below, still in progress.
  • 28th October 2022 (ReLief 6th Anniversary): First batch of fixes done with Teepa.
  • Up to 7th October 2023: Further QC revisions.
  • 21st August 2024: Minor updates to some menu tooltips that were missing. Teepa hasn't been active in a while, I assume they just got busy with real life. No story text changes since last update.

Main Story
Preparation
When installing the game, set the desired language to Japanese














Or, after downloading the game, right-click on it in Steam and open Properties.










Then set the language to Japanese.






You will know if it works if the game begins to download an additional file of around 1.14GB.

Installation

Download and unarchive this file (japanese.rar, 1.2GB)[drive.google.com]

Copy the folder named "japanese" into the game directory. If you want, you can delete "japanese.xp3" - it does not matter anymore. If the language change does not work after installation, delete japanese.xp3.

You will know if it has worked upon launching the game if the window title displays as such:
R18 Content
This game has optional R18 content. It is not needed to experience the story, and the game does not need these files to run.

Each heroine has two scenes, one in their route, and one as a bonus after you have completed their route.

To enable the R18 content, download and unzip this file (ReLieF_PatcH.zip, 250 MB).[rask-soft.com]

Copy "patch.xp3" into the game directory:

You will know if it has worked if the "EXTRA" menu has an additional tab named "MemorieS", as pictured below.



Chart
As outlined in the chart itself:
  • To read a particular route, you must pick ALL the choices for that character.
  • If you don't meet a route's requirements, you will be set onto Hinako's route.
  • The choice to start the True Route only becomes available after completing all the other routes.


Notes
◈ Words like "déjà vu" or "café" don't have diacritics. I just didn't think it looked good.

◈ There are unused CGs (including for R18 content). I didn't check all of them but there are probably about a dozen. The above one wasn't used either.











◈ Girls Cross Chronicle was a gacha game announced on the 1st March 2017 that opened on the 15th May 2017. The game would have various collaborations with different VNs (such as Grisaia and G-Senjou.) A Re:LieF collboration was announced for the 23rd August 2017, but the game server closed on the 31st August 2017, only 9 days later. If anyone has any videos or archive of the content, I would be interested in seeing it.











◈ Yuu sings Daisy Bell incorrectly?

She does. It should be "seat" instead of "street". When she first heard it, she didn't have access to the internet, so may have misheard it due to it being a foreign word. More likely, the writers didn't know or check it beforehand.


◈ I have heard that Momo's and Ruka's routes were written by different people than the one who did the common, Hinako's, and the True routes, so if they feel different, that could be why. I also personally believe that the H-scenes were outsourced.

◈ There is no need to read either Traumend to understand this game. They are more relevant to TrymenT Alpha and (presumably) Omega.

◈ Will this work on Nintendo Switch?

Yes, I don't see why not, with LayeredFS or whatever file replacement method they use at the moment it should be exactly the same.

◈ Ai has pale skin and white hair. Yuu has pale skin and long white hair. Mhlia has flaxen hair.

◈ "MABU" is short for "mabudachi". I was originally going to have it as "ALFA" (the "Anti-Lastnames, Firstname-Alliance" but that was too on the nose.

◈ Alternate readings of some characters of Yoshitaka (義貴) and Makoto's (真) names hold meaning - "righteousness" and "truth" respectively.

◈ Mikumojima is based on a real place. There are multiple photos from this island that can be matched up with scenes/landscapes from the game.[en.wikipedia.org]

◈ Taiyaki?

I assume you mean her second MemorieS scene. I'm not really sure why it wouldn't appear if you met all the conditions - it has always worked for me.

-Finished her (Hinako's) route completely, all the way until she reads her letter and the movie plays afterwards. After the movie finishes and you are returned to the title screen, it should be viewable.
-Have the extra patch content installed, and have it enabled from the very start of that save file. I personally don't see why this *would* be an issue but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing on some JP site that it might matter.
