Aventails for Kislev Reskin

Popis
This mod gives certain Kislev troops aventail style helmets.

Kislev, being a Slavic historical/fantasy hybrid, I thought could benefit from these chainmail curtains. While aventails were used across the medieval world, when I think medieval Russian warrior, I think of these kinds of helmets, carrying influences from the Kievan Rus and Byzantium.

This mod is compatible with Xoudad's Motherland Kislev overhaul mod, as demonstrated in the screenshots. I found it works best when it comes before The Motherland mod in the load order. It also works just fine without it!

The units that get new helms:
-Some variants of Boyar lords.
-All variants of Tzar (Kreml) Guard.
-Winged Lancers and War Bear Riders.

Much love to h3ro for AssetEditor and calm for inspiring me with a prototype experiment version of this helmet. Big thanks to Snek as well for paving the way on Boyar edits.

Have your unit detail set to Ultra or these new variants will not show up.

Never heard of that bug before. You might want to try different load orders. I do know that the Motherland mod uses the exact same aventails for the Armored Kossars as this one since Xoudad asked if he could use them and I said yes, so... if you really wanted you could just disable this mod and call it a day. You wouldn't have access to the aventail Boyar variants but I think there's compatibility challenges between the 2 mods anyway in that regard, but it should fix your bug at least instead of having 2 mods fighting over which Armored Kossar model to display.

Hey I noticed a bug that comes from this mod. I have both Xoudad's Motherland mod and also this and the dismemberment patch. Whenever I play there's this weird bug that happens with Armored Kossars that causes their heads to get all glitchy. Its to the point where I can barely play because they keep glitching everywhere. Have you ever been approached with this problem before? And if so, is there a way to fix it? Because I can't play my recent Kislev save without the Aventail mod. Thank you.

Xoudad already uses the very same aventails from this mod. I think the only advantage to be gained from loading this one above his, is that some of the Boyars will have aventails, but even that is not for certain, I'm not sure why to this day why the Boyars don't overwrite each other as easily as other mods do when it comes to load order.

The new helmets only work on lords and heroes, while the rest of the warriors only have standard helmets.
