Good and bad repair jobs
由 Ghaleas 制作
Hello mechanics!

Today I will walk you through all the possible repair jobs in the game and list them.
As you may know, you have almost any possible repair job available in the game, from changing brake pads to repairing the bodywork of a vehicle!

In this guide, you will learn the different jobs, how to complete them and which ones are the best for quick cash!

TIPS AND TRICKS

Jobs won't finish if :
- You haven't done everything related to the job
- You have forgot to put parts back
- You damaged the vehicle in any way

You can buy spare parts at the junkyard for a dime. Very useful for expensive parts!

Every job in the game
The easy jobs

- Car Wash :
With a fixed price reward of $80, this is the easiest job in the game. Always good when you need quick cash!
Just take your water hose and clean the customer's vehicle. it's as simple as that!

- Part painting :
With a fixed price of $121, it is one of the easiest jobs in the game. You need at least $20 to complete it since you will have to buy at least 1 spray paint can. The real reward is $101.
Copy the vehicle's colour code and head over to your part catalog. Then, go to the colour section and paste the colour code. You will then buy a spray paint can and head back to your car.
Spray the grey'ish part with your paint can until the paint quality raises to 5 stars.

- Part grinding and painting :
With a fixed price of $125, it is one of the easiest jobs in the game, as long as you don't end up with a LAD sedan or a LAD coupe.
Rust can be quite tricky to find on a vehicle, and ever worse to grind if it's situated on a LAD's rocker pannel. You may have to grind the weld with your flat disc and weld it back after grinding the rust!
In case you're lucky, your job is as simple as grinding rust and sending the car back!
Sometimes, the game will register your grinding as superficial and will not require any painting job after that.
Rewards between $105 and $125 (if you're lucky enough)

- Changing fuel tanks :
The reward is unfixed.
For LADs : open the trunk and unscrew the single bolt.
For NIVs : open your doors, remove the rear seats and remove the 2 bolts holding your fuel tank.
For CHADs and BARTS, lean under the back of the car and unscrew the 6 bolts.
A pretty quick job. You can even keep the old fuel tank's fuel for yourself by pouring it into a fuel can or another tank!

- Oil and filter change :
With a fixed reward of $101, plus the cost of engine oil and a filter, this is one of the least rewarding job in the game. But it's also simple as counting to 10!
Lean under your car, unplug your drain plug and let the oil flow out. After that, put the plug back in, replace the filter and just pour opil back into the engine!

- Engine parts changing :
Too many random rewards. Can include : Radiator, radiator hopses, fuel pump, spark plugs, distributor, carburettor, air filter, water pump, alternator, battery, battery wires, pistons and headgasket. The mission's name will tell you which part to replace.

The medium jobs, or unfixed rewards

- Handling work :
Steering parts and springs may be impacted.
For LADs and NIV models, remove the springs with your spring compressor.
For CHAD and BART models, use your spanner to remove the rear leaf springs and your pry tool to remove the front torsion bars.
May or may not need your lift!

- Suspension work :
Remove and replace worn suspension parts.
A lift is recommended

- Gearbox work :
One of the easiest jobs in the game and most rewarding if you have a pit or use your lift!
Simply remove the old gearbox and put in the new one!
On Inline 4s, the gearbox is attached with 8 bolts to the block, 2 bolts to the frame and 3 bolts to the driveshaft.
On V8s, the gearbox is attached with 4 bolts to the block, 2 bolts to the frame and 3 bolts to the driveshaft. The starter will also be attached to the gearbox. you will have to either remove the starter before removing the gearbox, or unscrew the wire bolt and remove the starter afterwards.

- Brake work :
Changing pads can be easy, so is changing discs. But it's not as rewarding as the other jobs.
To remove brake pads, remove the brake calliper and use your pry tool to extract the old pads.
To remove brake discs, remove the brake calliper and unscrew the single brake disc's screw with your screwdriver.

The hard jobs, or unfixed rewards

- Bodywork :
Grind all of the rust that you can find. You may need to grind the welds once more. You can also use spare parts and replace them as long as you paint them afterwards!
One of the most rewarding jobs in the game

Custom job: Fixing junkers

There are 3 types of junkers in the game. Junkyard vehicles, used cars, and barn find shells. Fixing them will come at a high cost, but also at a high reward. Pretty late game stuff if you ask me!

I hope this guide helped you a bit at picking your jobs. Now make wonders!

Duh stupid me. I forgot that there are screws in the cable plugs... Thanks!

To remove the battery, you gotta unscrew both cable plugs with the wrench. Then you can remove the battery by hand

I don't even know how to remove the battery from a car. I guess I need to remove the cables first (at least that would be the obvious thing to do IRL)? How do I do that?

omg YOU CAN USE THE PRY TOOL FOR TORSION BARS! i gave up trying to remove them and i got used to cuting the torsion bar support off and buying a new one with new torsion bars lol

If you do a radiator replacement you can fill the coolant up from the old radiator to save money on buying new coolant.

Also for the exhaust, check if you used the rieng engine exhaust type. I4 and I6D exhaust pipes are the same, while V8 and I6 are different from these two.

Basically :
- I6D and I4 are compatible
- V8 and I6 are compatible

Actually for most of the cars, you can clip your head through the middle tunnel, making it really easy to access the bolts!

this doesnt work for me,cu some jobs you didnt list or in detail, cuz example i tried 2 transmisson jobs where owner says its not shifting right, well i changed gearbox, like you said on the 1 st 1,it failed by saying bolts are loose, well its difficult even on the lift to get all tightened,so there needs to be a way to reach high up under car on lift to reach it and get it tight, the 2nd try,it drove into garage and onto lift, but it was acting like while driving in there that the clutch was almost gone,i changed all of it again, and not only it kept saying bolts loose but car went into gear but wouldnt move, them the 2nd job i was forced to abandon cuz nothing worked,is owner said car wasloud,i changed exaust pipe and it was long, and exaust manifold, well the manifold goes right in but the new pipe no matter what ive tried doesnt go in cuz the checkmark wont come up so what am i doing wrong or not doing or forgetting to fix these issues
