Open the console

Ctrl + Alt + ~ (tilde)

⇢ If your keyboard is not a US layout, "tilde" may be the key below Esc.

Change the speed values

Formulas to bind and unbind a key:

bind [key] pm_speed [value]; pm_walkspeed [value] unbind [key]

Suggestion:

bind u pm_speed 240; pm_walkspeed 360

Defaults (for reference):

pm_speed 160 pm_walkspeed 80

⇢ Whenever you want to check if a command is in default, just type the command alone and hit Enter, so the console will show you the value plus a brief info about what the command does.

How to use

Press "u" to enable your custom speeds every time you load the game;
Use the movement keys normally;
Use the "walk" key to sprint.

Please notice
The keybindings will be written in your config file and will stay there untill you unbind them, but the values will always revert to default when you quit or die, so use them every time you load the game.

Sure, you can try:

pm_runbob 0

pm_walkbob 0

If you need to bind, you can type:

bind (key) pm_runbob 0

Wow thank-you. Not so much because I am going to use it, but because it at least confirms the slow run speed is intentional and by design lol. I never got to play Q4, one of the only Id games I've never fully finished. And I never knew how slow it was. I thought it was a bug! Lol. I want to go through once vanilla, then I might try this. Thanks for the option!
