Increases spears durability by an insane amount.

Max condition is left untouched. I simply highly decreased the break chance.

The default preserve chance for the crafted spear is only 2. I increased it to a whopping 50 (60 for Machete and Hunting knife spears).

For comparaison, the crowbar preserve chance is 70 (but it also has 3 time higher max condition).

Yes. This is cheating.
Why do i think it's not that bad : spears are very easy to craft and you get a few just by dismantling a piece of furniture. It's one of the only weapon that is not finite on the map, you can never run out of it. The counterpart is that it breaks really easily and you need to keep crafting them all the time. But if you like to play with spears a lot, you noticed that crafting the spears by itself isn't a challenge anymore, it's just getting an annoyance. By cheating the durability, we can finally breath.
Yes, this is more than just a quality of life. The downside of playing with spears is that it takes a lot of inventory space, for the replacement spears, but also for hammer + saw + knifes requiered to craft them.
Yes, it makes the game much easier.
No, there's no shame if you want to play like that :3
