OM Milk Tanker Wagons

These wagons are normally used to haul milk from Southern Hawkes Bay and the Manawatu to the Fonterra dairy plant at Whareroa. Both the first series built in Ireland with distinctive angled corners and extra strengthening arms on the lower sides of the tank. These wagons had issues with cracking around the mounting points. The second series were built in New Zealand and had rounded ends with no strengthening beams. Apparently these wagons stood up in service a lot better than the first series.
