Denmark Campaign (NTF Mod)
由 GoneAWOL 制作
Hello, this is AWOL again with a second story of my campaign. I dropped the NTC mod, which drove me insane with all the battles. Didn't fit the actual game. Anywho, same thing except with Denmark.

The Begining of Denmark
Its is 1805. Napoelon as begun his war against the east, pushing deeper into Austria and Prussia every day. Our great king Christian the Seventh will lead us to take what should be ours, Scandanavia. To our east is our only enemy, and our main one currently, Sweden. We remain rivals until war is declared. In secrecy, an army is being made. Rumours have spread of spies in Denmark, watching everymove, but it is a lie. Sweden is weak. Russia awaits the war between the two to begin their invasion, and to take Finland. All Denmark can do is wait for the pieces of the puzzle to come together, then assault on Swedens capital. But, that would take years, and Sweden had support from Britain, Prussia, and Austria. No way Denmark could handle them. So, their idea was simple, make an alliance with Sweden, then slowly start to tear them limb by limb with spies and rebellion. Until then, the only other option was to declare war on a smaller nation, Mecklenberg.
The Denmark-Mecklenberg War
This war was what gave Denmark its first show of military excellense. Its was late June of 1805, Mecklenburg tired of being threatened of being invaded for money, which Denmark badly needed for its army, they declared war on Denmark. Karl the Second of Mecklenburg had spoken to the Prussian king for secondary reinforcement to help push Denmark out if they invaded, but he never accepted. Instead, Sweden joined Denmarks side, forcing Mecklenburg to be alone.

Soon after the decleration of war, Denmark General Malte Kaustrop moved in with 14 Divisions of Line Infantry, 2 Cannon Divisons, and 3 Cavalry Divisons. In total, it was 6,230 men. On the Mecklenburg side was Colonel Lebrechte Laube, on a recon mission to find out how many men Denmark had. Within an hour of finding the army, a reinforcing army of 5,730 men rushed out of the nearby city of Schwerin. The General in charge of the Reinforcements was Kurt Sulzer. Quickly, Kaustrop moved his divisons into postion, sending 4 line infantry and a cavalry to attack from the flank, while the other 10 stood outside of the city, waiting patiently. The cannons were set, and at noon, the enemy began to move. First, the mob of civilians from the city charged towards the main line, only to be torn apart from the cannons and muskets. They were soon driven off, taking out nearly half of the Mecklenburg army. The battle repeated itself over and over, until eventualy Laube had been sliced in the throat by a cavalry saber. Good ridance. Kaustrop lost 2,807 men, and Mecklenburgs army lost 6,516. With reinforcements, the Mecklenburgens (idk) had 8190 men, outnumbering Kaustrop by 2,000. This effectiviely cut Mecklenburg into tatters, leaving only the city to defend.

Early July had come, with the harvest slowly drawing nearer. The city of Schwerin was under seige, Kaustrop wanting to have a big finish so he could become the main officer in charge, Commander in Chief some may say. So, he waited outside the city calmly, but ready. Some say he and his officers played games such as chess while they waited. Citizens inside the city were destroying the place, burning homes to even the Magistrate. No one would be left un-scared. Finally, it was decided. What started as a small skirmish ran into the battle of Schwerin. A group of civilians had charge out of town towards one of the camps blocking travelers out of town. When they reached the camp, they attempted to kill one of the soldiers, or so the story goes. The soldiers quickly fired on them, then grabbed their families, and shot them as well. This does not go by well with the officer garrisoned in Mecklenburg, General Hermann Lentz. On August First, he makes his move, attacking Kaustrop to relieve his army for at least one week for much needed supplies, and revenge. Lentz had over 5,000 men, mostly rag-tag militia against the trained Denmark army led by Kaustrop. The battle began in the morning, and went very terrible from there. Kaustrop's cannons could not get a postion where they could fire on multiple targets at once, allowing many enemy soldiers to charge, and take some positions. Lentz plan was simple:Charge. Within an hour, he had nearly 2,000 men on one flank, destroying the defenders on that side of 1,000. It was a massacre. All were killed except 300, who barely stopped them. Luck alone saved them. After that, cavalry charged in, heading in for Lentz and his staff. He was caught off guard, encourging his men to charge in the middle, nearly breaking through. Captian Fabian Rein was in charge of the cavalry divison, and was extremely angered at Lentz. Lentz had killed 700 men, and killed 2,000 of his own. This was not a General, but someone who killed and enjoyed death. Rein charged in at the spear, heading straight for Lentz, putting a flintlock pistol to his head, and killed him instantly. Soon, the entire army was running, but were being shot down by muskets, and the few civilians in the city, yelling out "Cowards!" Kaustrop lost half of his troops, around 1,500. Mecklenburg's Army lost 5,084.

Within a day of there deafeat, what was left of Schwerin surrendered. Soon, Mecklenburg was destroyed as a nation, and removed from the face of Earth. The war was over, with nearly 8,000civilian and military casualties.
Drumbeat to Scandanavian Domination
In the months after taking Mecklenburg, not much was occuring. A propsed second army was starting to take plan, and ideas to take Stockholm began. But, what really started this off was the murder of Ane Topelius in Aabo Finland. He was the General there, making sure Russia would not move in on him, or Stockholm. During one of his routine check ups of the city defenses, a man charged from the shadows, stabbing him in the back. He fell, still alive. The man dragged the General into a corridor, where he was beaten to death with a club. The news spread, and began to make Sweden seem unstable, and unprepared. Nearly three months later, the man that killed the General, was captured, and hung in Finland. Sweden was outraged, but the military alliance cooled them.

In Early July of 1806, A french fleet of 13 ships led by Pieree-Charles Villeneuve attacked a Denmark Trading ship off the coast of Portugal. The Merchant ship had only a few cannons, and was led by Captian Njord Bock. The battle began at night, with howling winds from the north. Bock moved in on the French ships, ready to fire on them till the end. They sat in the distance, slowly coming over the warm waters. Bock attempted to ram into the enemy flagship, but a change in wind threw him off course, being destroyed by 122 cannons. The mast fell, crushing anyone below it. A quick boradside was fired, but merely scraped the sides of the French warship. Another barage hit the Den Pretige, setting the gunpowder to go off on the ship, destroying it. Bock was seen standing near the explosion, ripped into pieces.

After this defeat, Denmark imeedietly began to invest into their navy, adding new ships every other week. But, this did not happen soon enough. Off the coast of Africa, the Merchant ship Triton led by Olav Kjeldsen was amubshed by the Frenches Republic France (Translated) led by Lionel Oudinot. The ship was destroyed in less than an hour, with the cannons ripping them apart.
The Franco-Scandanavian War
The war had been fighting for about 4 months, relatively in the ocean with ships. But, in Early Novemeber, an entire army led by Jean-Andre Massena moved in towards Denmark, passing the nearest territories, and going to Copenhagen, the captial. Soon, the City was under seige by the French, but not for long. Kaustrop moved in to stop them, with an army of 6480 men, and a reinforcing army of 6760 men. Massena had only 4,140 men. This number was what would turn the tide of the French Imperialism. It began in the morning, with line divisons all along the left flank, and 4 other divisions moving towards the cannons. Within 3 hours, those 4 divisions were destroyed. It took nearly 3,000 more men until they were taken, and destroyed. The French moved in with their main line against ours, moving in at a steady pace. Denmark cannon fire tore them to pieces. What turned the tide in the end was a lucky shot by the 15th infantry, which was sadly eliminated to only 30 men. Massena was checking his troops quickly, when the soldier fired, hitting Massena in the chest, throwing him off his horse. The battle quickly fell apart, with Denmark shooting anyone who dared to retreat. Some may consider this a defeat, since Kaustrop lost nearly 4,000 men, with the French Army with only around 3,500 men dead.

The citizens of Copenhagen cheered in the streets as the soldiers marched by. They had saved them from imperialism by the French. But, the war was not over, nor the threat of losing Copenhagen. The French Army was still nearby, but in tatters. In Early December, Kaustrop moved in for the kill. The French Army was led by Colonel Edmond Bussy. Kaustrop was honorable, and gave the Frenchman a chance to surrender. Bussy denied, but Kaustrop was ready. During the night, he sent his line infantry into their camp, firing on them in their sleep. They were massacred, and those that survived were caputred and used as bayonet practice.

It was Late December, time to go on the offensive. Svendsen sent his army of 6230 men to attack near Hannover, meeting an army led by Colonel Fabrice Sanxay. His army had 2820 men, and were unprepared for battle in the winter. The battle lasted an hour, and cut the France from any chance of attacking Denmark.

Quickly after this battle, the Denmark navy had sighted the french Corvette Protectur. Immedietly, the two newest ships in the navy, Den Preiteige and Sydermanland, moved in. Both were 80-gun frigates. They quickly moved in, and tore apart the small ship with cannon fire.

Three days after the battle ended, a fear in the back of some's heads happened. Sweden declared war on Denmark, but luckily with no allies. This was a major fear for the king, knowing he could not hold off two armies from two directions.
