I've not found a 100% guide yet so I'm taking what I've found and compiling it into one guide for convenience. I've never done a guide before but I really think this game deserves a good one! If you've any tips/critique to clean up or make what I've got so far more potent I'd be very grateful, thanks!! I claim no rights to any of the videos or images shown

Anything that will at one point be touched upon if you're doing a full playthrough


Upon start of the game, after going forward you will see stairs in front of you and a lit up door to the left. Enter the door and you will find a chest that contains a stick. Upon receiving the stick, the achievement will unlock.


Can be acquired by following the signs pointing East towards the "Hero's Grave". At the grave you will find a lone sword, pick this up to acquire this achievement.


Hopefully this achievement is harder for you than it was for me. Upon your first death you will wake up in spirit form, follow the only path available towards a recurring character to unlock this achievement.


Can be found after completion of "Guard House 1" which you will find closely located to the area where you obtained the sword in the east forest. After clearing, continue along to find a golden pillar tuner bell which you will need to swing at to ring.






You will receive this after following along the west side path eventually leading you to the underground waterway(under the well). Afterwards make your way through the docks area and you will fight a new enemy at the top, you will have the opportunity to ring this next bell after defeating it.


Your first chance to obtain this achievement is while you're near the end of the underground waterway(under the well). Follow the rune embedded in the floor which will take you outside and if you continue the path, to the room where you get the lantern. On your way to the top of the inner rune pillar where you obtain the lantern. Upon walking up to rune, hold your roll button down for 3 seconds to begin praying. Charge this pillar with your prayer to activate it and pop this achievement.




Can be obtained after defeating the "Siege Engine" in the Eastern Vault Fortress, located deep in the forest.


Can be obtained after defeating the "Scavenger Boss" at the end of the Rooted Ziggurat, found inside of the Quarry.


Can be obtained after defeating the "Librarian" inside of the Library, found after completing the Ruined Atoll area.


Obtained after defeating the 3 gem bosses, bringing their gems to the Sacred Temple and inserting them in the three slots slots of the sealing mechanism.


Obtained after being trapped in spirit form and completing the statue fights at the end of the Cathedral and obtaining your halo/dash ability there.


Obtained after obtaining the Purple Halo, you must visit all six Hero Shrines around the world and pray in front of them to obtain the item inside of them to restore your stats. Doing all six shrines will restore your body and give you the achievement. All 6 are obtainable during nighttime and once you have gotten them all, it is possible to revert the time back to daytime by sleeping in a bed. This may not be touched upon in your playthrough but if you would like the true ending you will need to touch in on this.

Obtained by defeating the final boss (The Heir) without obtaining all pages of the Instructions Booklet leading you to the bad end. You can still go back to 100% the game after being given the "Game Over" ending, starting you before the final fight. The same cannot be said after getting the true ending(Collect all pages and visiting the heir), you will be forced into a New Game +.

These are not missable in the sense you cannot go back and acquire them, only missable in a sense it's possible to complete the game without obtaining them. The only exceptions being Too cute to smash and Bring it to the wrong fight, which can be entirely missed from your playthrough.


!MISSABLE! Obtained by obtaining the firearm before the sword. You will have to navigate through a lot of area with nothing but your stick. It can be aggravating and challenging however this is an achievement you can go for right away so you can always start a new file if you don't want to go for this one right away.

!MISSABLE! Obtained by having 10 money banks on their person at once. Do NOT use/destroy any of them or the achievement will be missed for that playthrough. Can additionally be obtained after completion of the game and beginning New Game + carrying over all your items. Then you'll only need to collect however many you're missing with a fully restocked map.



Obtained by performing a properly executed special technique. (Use your sword and roll button at the same time to perform a lunge after roll on an enemy)

Obtained by cutting down 1000 pieces of grass with your sword. You should be able to unlock this achievement in a normal playthrough unless you're doing a stick only playthrough.

Obtained by offering an upgrade component. You can get this at any fox shrine by opening your inventory within rest distance of the shrine and burning the components located in the lower right hand corner of your screen. (Gold needed for upgrade)

Obtained by using 10 of any Bombs and resting at a fox shrine. Doing so will give you a bonus amount of that type of bomb that will return to you every time you rest at a shrine.

Obtained by tossing a coin in the well. Must first obtain a golden token either through a chest or offering up 999 coins to the shopkeeper. From there you must find a well where you can equip the token and toss it in the well.

Obtained by offering 15 golden tokens to wells. Does not have to be the same well and does not have to be all at once however. It must be all in one playthrough, coins already in well are not carried over in New Game +.





Obtained by Freezing yourself. Drop an ice bomb at your feet to freeze yourself and obtain this achievement.


Obtained by Freeing at least one of the 20 lost fairies in the game. There are 20 fairies in total, all needed for the separate "Spring Falls" achievement. If you would like to acquire only this achievement easily, I recommend starting with fairy #2 or #12 which you can find in the second half of this guide.

1.) In the direction towards the Forest Fortress, you should see a cross path. Look for a purple flower surrounded by white ones and once there use your D-PAD to create a trail between the flowers
Up - Left - Down - Left - Down - Left - Down - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Right - Down - Right




2.)Located on the Southern island in Overworld. Underneath the right side of the bridge road. Hints on PG. 52, use the large pink flower and your D-PAD

3.)Located below the south side of the West Belltower, on. On the West tower and you should see a marking on the wall. Use your D-Pad to trace the the linings.
Up - Right - Up - Left - Down - Left - Up - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Down - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Down



4.)Located in the overworld, at the far right side of the bridge there's a room with a pool inside. The pool illuminates a light pattern which you have to copy with your D-Pad

5.)In the Fairy room behind the waterfall towards the west side of the map. You'll need to look at both carvings to tell the correct pattern for your D-Pad

6.)In the first temple you enter, you'll see a statue with 3 foxes. Below that are tiles along the floor, you will need to trace them with your D-Pad.
Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Up - Up - Left





7.)In the Quarry area, in the top part with a lot of scattered rocks. Start from the rocks with 3 stacked, then use your D-Pad to line up the rocks in order of those that align until you've gone all the way around.
Up - Right - Down - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Down - Left - Up - Right - Right - Down



8.)In the Eastern Forest during nightfall only, you will be able to see a spirit fox located in the top area. Follow the foxes movements with your D-Pad to summon the chest.

9.)Located in the great library which can be found by traveling to the southward beach area and using the powered up center teleporter. In the center of the library there will be a decorative rug that you will need to trace the lining off to get this one. Up - Right - Down - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Down - Left - Down - Right - Up - Right - Down - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Left - Down - Right - Down - Left - Down - Right - Down - Left

10.)Head to the hourglass room and in the center you must trace with your D-Pad the grooves that go along in the wall at the top of the platform.
Left - Up - Right - Up - Right - Down - Right - Up - Right - Up - Left - Left - Left - Up - Right - Up

11.)Head to this grave in towards the East forest but before entering go south, once there read the sign and use your D-Pad to repeat directions. (Decoded directions on PG. 34)

12.)Located in the old house underneath the windmill located West. Key found from spearsman above beachline. Once in the house trace the curtain design with your D-Pad.
Up - Up - Right - Down - Down - Right - Up - Up - Right - Down - Down - Down




13.)Located in the Dark room found by going down the ladder near the Northeast waterfall. Afterwards there is a secret path behind the waterfall. Travel through and past it to reach the dark room with a single enemy. While the enemy moves he is going through the next code you need so follow his movements with the D-Pad.
Down - Down - Right - Up - Right - Down - Left - Down - Right - Up - Right - Down - Down


14.)Near the first area of the game, if you go west and down you will see a river which leads to a waterfall. There is spiraling staircases on each side of the waterfall. On the right side after going down the staircase halfway you must throw an explosive where the flowers are at the back wall to open this up. Once inside you will see a rotating cube, follow the cubes movements with your D-Pad to unlock.

15.)Follow the Overworld beach until you're on the right side of the bridge. Once there head north until you come to an empty room that has invisible walls. Make your way through while remembering the correct pattern to trace with your D-Pad.
Up - Left - Down - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Up - Right - Down - Left - Up - Left - Up



16.)Find the fountain in the southwest area of the map. Once there you'll see blue tiles on the ground. Trace them in the correct order by direction of the numbers that show.
Down - Left - Left - Down - Up - Right - Down





17.)There will be a tree located in the South West Gardens, use your D-Pad to trace direction starting with lowest amount of flower to the highest.
Left - Down - Right - Left - Up - Down






18.)In the West, there'll be a long runway in the gardens with an enlighten rune going along it. Trace the blue tile going along it with your D-Pad for to unlock.
Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Up - Left - Down - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up



19.)In the underground temple that you pass through on your way to the Red Gem holder, there's a pillar guarded by multiple fire foxes. Around the rune pillar there are candles. Trace the direction starting with the least amount of candles.
Right - Left - Down - Right - Up - Left




20.)Around the world you'll find broken obelisk pieces for a broken monument. Find the four pieces and read off the code at the base of the monument to unlock.
Down - Right - Down - Left - Up - Left - Down - Left - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Up - Right - Up - Left - Up - Right - Down - Right - Down - Right - Down - Left - Down - Right - Down - Left - Up


Additionally if I wasn't precise enough please feel free to use a video guide for more informative means.

There are 12 secret treasures in total. Some may require entering a code into the D-PAD in certain locations while others have different means of securing.

Obtained in the building leading the Eastern Forest which you needed a key for. There is a markings on the wall which is a hidden entryway. You must use your D-Pad to copy the grove's pattern edged in the wall to unlock the door.

Found inside of the Cathedral. (Must have restored your body first to be able to switch between day and nighttime, see achievement "Your body is restored" for more info) During nighttime, upon first entering the Cathedral, go through the immediate door on your left. Behind where the bone ladder is(or where it would fall if still lifted) you need to push into the wall behind it with a small marking. Through there, you will find a chest, don't be fooled, behind that chest is another hidden entrance on the wall directly behind it. Go all the way through and open the hidden door on the back by using your D-Pad to copy the groove directions. From there, go to a bed and sleep to change it to daytime and return back through the secret entrance and the chest will be unblocked.

Obtained by heading west to the windmill in the west and using your D-Pad to enter the cut directions on the windmill's sails. Hint on PG. 53.

Obtained after obtaining page 1 of the Instruction Booklet. Go to where fairy #2 is located and stand in the shore puddle. Lower your volume completely and stand in water for 60 seconds without moving out of the puddle, look at page 1 again and you should find new information with a code listed. From there, use your D-Pad to enter your new code:
Down(x1) - Right(x11) - Left(x12)

Located in the swamp burial near the cathedral. You should see gold skulls(may appear red at night) laying around. You need to push all 4 skulls together into the small circle pool in front of the grave with one of the gold skulls on top this one to appear.

Found in the East forest near where fairy #20 is found at the bottom of the ruins. Towards the bottom of the map where you find spiders, you'll see a hook and above it a slime on a ledge. You your hook, dagger, and wand. What you have to do is use both fire wand and magic dagger at the same time on the slime, the fire will carry over the freeze effect to the slime. After you must then use your orb hook on the frozen slime to grapple up to him and get the treasure behind it.

Obtained after finding all 20 fairy chests. You will find the treasure in the fairy fountain room, behind the waterfall next to the Dark Tomb. See fairy guide 1-20 above for locations.

Located at the old house underneath the windmill you will find wind chimes. On PG 28 of the manual it hints about there music there, on PG 34 you can decode the music into the necessary code. Using your D-Pad the code is: Up - Down - Right - Up - Down - Left - Up - Down - Left - Right - Down - Left - Right - Up

Return to where you started on the beach. Stand on the first golden warp pad and use the code which is hinted on PG 11. D-Pad code:
Right - Down - Left - Up - Left - Left - Down - Right - Right - Down - Down

Head back to Ruined Atoll once you've unlocked the dash ability. From there head left in between where the rune is cut and liquid is spilling out from both ends. Somewhere in between those two, there is a brick lining and you will see another brick lining across the water gap. Dash across the gap and continue along to it to reach this one.

Found near the hero's shrine near the Eastern Vault. You will need the dash ability for this. Along the path you will see rubble to the north among water. Use the rubble and dash across entering the cave on the other side. Inside you will find a broom and leave piles. Destroy all 4 patches of leaves to obtain the chest. Video guide:

Obtained in the Astral Teleporter room, there is a hidden path between the main teleporters and the single one at the south. You need to dash ability to to head west to reach a hidden chest. Hinted direction on PG 41.
