I think the following things really helped me:
- If you drop your combo before 700k points, I'd just restart. It takes about 300x combo to get that many points, but the early enemies are pretty easy and you can get there reasonably fast.
- The enemies get tougher, so you want to maximize the early combos and points. Avoid takedowns and using batarangs on charging thugs.
- Batclaw knockdown on electrified enemies is clutch. You're invulnerable while doing it to those enemies (but not normal enemies), and you can chain it up by using it on the next enemy before you finish the current hits.
- The basic brute (the ganger one who just uses fists) is probably the most dangerous, and I always use takedown on him.
- Once you get to croc, take a break. Pay close attention to him.
