Introduction
Hey guys, hopefully this will be useful since I found nearly nothing out there.


Couple things to note.
  • I went with a Soulstress Route and on normal difficulty, so stuff specific to the other route's was provided by other people.

  • If you choose the route I went with, be warned that you won't be able to get Eliza in your party.

  • I named all of the side quests and most of the areas myself for better clarification and labelling.

  • Some sections of this guide will be split into multiple parts due to the amount of information in it and the character limit per section of the guide, also I replaced a bit of text with a screenshot of the text because I ran out of character space, sorry about that. The only things that are like that is 3 minor side quests (Lodging, Rent, and Inn Review) and the item list of the maze in Silverlynn.

  • I also separated some route specific stuff for the Edilia and Dwarf routes as I couldn't fit it with everything else, which includes Item Locations specific to the dwarf route, this only happens in Morness Mine and Greendale so if you're on that route be sure to check the section for those when you reach those places.

  • I only started to map stuff out a bit into the game, the same can be said for the main quest walkthrough so the beginning part will be somewhat not as precise, luckily the beginning is not that big or confusing so it should be fine.

  • I also only mapped areas when they were big and not as obvious where everything is, the areas without the map in the later parts of the game should be fairly straight forward and/or the area names should be fairly obvious to identify.

  • Hopefully everything is correct, if not be sure to leave any info you may have on anything that is relevant and/or any feedback you may have for the guide in the comments.

  • I think there is one or two things that we couldn't figure out, the one thing that comes to mind being the certificate from that one side quest in Applemere for example, so although this guide is very detailed and complete, it is not perfect.

  • I've listed the items here as I've found them chronologically through the game.

  • In relation to the ending - What's the deal with the ending having Cerys asking why there's 4 chairs instead of 3? Sequel bait?. Thanks Slimmmeiske2 for the answer.

    In regards to your questions about the ending, yes, that was indeed meant to be a hook for a sequel. Unfortunately due to health issues, the dev had to quite game making :(

Edilia Route Specific Stuff
This will span Applemere Isle, Morness Mine, Silverlynn, and Greendale and will talk about the Crystal Shard and this route's specific skill.

This should have the Edilia Route specific stuff, I retroactively added the skill to here, hopefully I didn't forget anything else, if I did it will still be in it's respective section.


Applemere Isle

Crystal Shard - This is a side quest that starts in Applemere Isle and ends in Morness Mine.
Talk to Sister Marianne on the route to the Applemere Isle Farm, where you meet Rhys.




You'll then be able to enter the shrine, when you leave that same shrine you'll be given a Crystal Shard which you'll keep until you get to Morness Mine.


Morness Mine

When you reach the Checkpoint speak with Crisdorf to the left, near some graves.




When you hand over the crystal he'll ask you what you want.
  • A weapon - Crystal Blade
  • Some Armour - Crystal Mantle
  • Something Pretty - Crystal Bangle (Protection against many statuses)


Silverlynn / Greendale

When you get to the Silverlynn Academy Gardens, go to the old underground cloister in the middle, above a well.




You'll need to talk to the guy in there and then select the 'No chance.' option. Then, when you reach Greendale, talk to Sister Leonne in the cave shrine and choose between Willow and Cerys to learn the 'Edilia's Blessing' [15MP] skill.





Dwarf Route Specific Stuff
This will span Marshbarrow, Morness Mine, and Greendale, and will tell you how to fix the chisel, what the deal is with the pink rocks, and how to get the perfect score in the Dwarven Training Cave.

Marshbarrow

Fixing the Chisel - Go all the way to the Western Inn and talk to bron there, she will fix the chisel for you.




You can also find the first pink rock in there, in the Marshbarrow Western Inn Pass.
Interact with it to receive a Diamond.




Morness Mine

You can find the Dwarven Training Cave in the upper right of the Checkpoint.
You can get hints about what to do in there by reading the manual in the bookcase to the right of Ulfar, in the first house that you enter when you arrive here.




The way you get the perfect score is -
  1. Do not take the gold, but interact with it.
  2. Do not enter the tunnels designed for carts, but interact with the entrance.
  3. Do not enter the cave with strange sounds coming from it, but interact with the entrance.
  4. Always PUSH boulders, never pull.
  5. Do not interact with the dead creatures (skeletons).
  6. Check for items behind all the big mounds of rubble.
  7. Do not take the dragon egg, but interact with it. (If you take the egg, although you won't get the perfect score reward from this, you will be able to sell the egg to Fabian in Greendale for 500 Gold Coins)

You'll also find the second pink rock in there, to the bottom left of the dragon egg.




You can get -
  • Leeching Salts - From the rubble.
  • Mild Potion - From the rubble.
  • Skill Truffle - From the rubble.
  • Relaxing Balm - From the rubble.
  • High Perfume - From the rubble.
  • Diamond - From the Pink Rock.



After getting the perfect score, he will teach you the skill, 'Dark Quake' [30MP]. Choose between Willow, Eirwen, Tye, and Rhys to learn it.

You can then find the third pink rock in Silverlynn Tunnel 2, to the left.
Interact with it to get the third and final Diamond.




Once you have all 3 diamonds, speak with Aldor in the first house you see to the left in Silver Wood.




You can only make this choice once, regardless of the answer he still goes away.
If you choose to sell the diamonds you will get 500, 750, and 950 Gold Coins for the 3 of them, totalling at 2200 Gold Coins.


Greendale

Talk to Paulo at the market.




He will teach Willow the skill, 'Rock Storm' [40MP].


Afterwords, in the middle of the tunnel to reach Irtak's Domain you will come across a hole where hot air is coming from, interact with it to go down into a special cave. Once inside there will be a High Perfume to the right, interact with the back of the pile of rubble to get it.



There will be a rest cave to the north and a cave with dragons to the south. Go inside the dragon cave, when you come out there will be 3 people you'll fight near the way out.




After defeating them, they will drop Scale Armor for Tye.



Soulstress Route Specific Stuff
This will span Applemere Isle, Silverlynn, and Greendale and will talk about the Medeia side quest.
Hopefully i didn't forget anything else that was Soulstress Route specific, if I did, both this and whatever else will be listed in it's respective sections.


Applemere Isle

When you arrive at the village, go to the back of the inn you stay at. There will be an old soulstress there, speak with her to learn the 'Clean Mind' [10MP] skill.




Silverlynn

You'll need Cerys in your party for this. Once you have her, head to the Soulstress Training Facility and, if you haven't already, interact with Dimenia in front of the door at the back to get her out of the way.
Then enter the basement and interact with the stone tablet on the wall, to the right. Cerys will learn 'Charm Breaker' [15MP], which will be used on the Medeia side quest.




Silver Wood / Greendale
Medeia's House -

Medeia - Once you have the Charm Breaker spell, you can then use it on Medeia's House to break the seal on it, go inside, and talk to Medeia.




Next, continue to Greendale and go to Greendale Clearing. You'll need to talk to the lady in front of the castle.




Afterwords talk to Medeia inside. You'll then need to find an orb which will be through the top of Central Greendale Forest.




The Realm Orb will be in the chest in Greenwood Cave.




After you get it, return to Medeia and talk to her, when she leaves you'll be able to explore the second floor.
You'll find -
  • 250 Gold Coins - In a pouch in the bottom left.
  • 175 Gold Coins - In a pouch in the bottom of the map, next to a bed.
  • Edilia's Draught - In a chest to the right side of the map.




Side Quests 1
This will list all the side quests in Elderose Port, Oldwood, and Applemere Isle.

Elderose Port
East Elderose Port -

Torn Letter - After you get Tye in your party, talk to Wilfred in the rightmost house in the upper left corner of the map.

You can find the pieces in -
  1. - East Elderose Port, near a goat to the right.
  2. - Central Elderose Port, near a pond.
  3. - West Elderose Port, on the right side.

Once you have all the pieces, return to Wilfred. He will reward with 30 Gold Coins.







Central Elderose Port -

(The reward of this quest will be used in another side quest further into the game)
Wedding bouquet - Speak with the bride on the upper left of Central Elderose Port. She'll be in the middle of 3 houses.




Afterwords, go to the cave shrine on the right side and speak with the girl on the right. She'll then give you a flower and tell you to find something to tie it with.




Proceed to South Elderose Port and go into the house to the right of the inn. Once inside, speak with the red-haired girl. She will give you a ribbon.




Go to the bride. After talking to her, she will give you the ribbon as thanks.


Painting Day - Talk to the man doing the painting of the happy wedding you helped with. He'll ask you to talk to your friend Tye so that he can do his portrait.




The following day, talk to Tye in the docks so he joins your party. Emory will be in the leftmost room of the inn.




After talking to him, you get to see a cool image of Tye. (See Paintings section)


Oldwood
Oldwood Academy -

(The completion of this quest will lead to her teaching you a skill towards the end of the game)
Polly's Book - Speak with Polly in the eastern dorm.




Afterwards, proceed downstairs into the classroom area, speak with Nora in the kitchen to the right, and she will then give you a key for the basement door in the back.




Once you go through there, you'll end up in the playing grounds. The book will be near the center area on the right.




(The reward of this quest will be used in another side quest further into the game)
Orphan's Best Friend(Lost Mouse) - Speak with Jack in the western dorm.




Then proceed downstairs into the classroom area. In the leftmost classroom, there will be a mouse hole in the corner.




After you interact with it, you will need to continue the story until you get to Tye. In his house, there will be a piece of cheese to the right. Then all you need to do is go back and interact with the mouse hole again.




After speaking with Jack again, he will reward you with 1 Chewy Sweet.


Applemere Isle
Applemere isle -




Baking Contest - Talk to William in the house on the upper left corner of Applemere Isle Village. He'll be on the left side. Select the 'Sour Fruit Cake' option. (You get the answer to this by talking to the judge at Applemere Isle Ranch, who says that he's cooking a sour pudding.)




After that, go to Celebration Hill and look for him in the upper left corner of the map.
You will be rewarded with 50 Gold Coins.




Jam Contest - Talk to Ingrid on the back of the ranch. After doing so, the 5 green apples will be able to be seen and picked up.
(Be sure to do this before the festival starts)




  • Apple 1 - Near the starting beach to the right.




  • Apple 2 - At the back of the village to the left of a house.




  • Apple 3 - At the start of Applemere Farm near a tree.




  • Apple 4 - At the end of the tunnel that is to the left of Apple 3, it will be under the left tree. You'll need to get past a bat enemy. If you have the 'Sleepyhead' and 'Poison Pen' skills by this point, simply use them to make the fight much easier.




  • Apple 5 - At the Applemere Isle Ranch, past the pig and 2 houses.



Now go talk to Ingrid again to give her the apples. Later, find her at the festival.
You will be rewarded with 1 Green Apple Jam.




The Makings of a Scarecrow - Talk to Bert in Celebration Hill. He will be in the upper left corner of the map. Be sure to select the 'Can we take part' option.




Next, go fetch all the materials for the scarecrow in order.
  1. Straw - It will be in between the chickens and the pig.




  2. Clothes - It will be in the house to the left of the inn, in the laundry pile to the right.




  3. Hat - It will be in the twins' house at the far back of the village, in the bedroom upstairs.



Choose the hat you want, and then go talk to Bert.
Your reward and scarecrow's name will depend on your hat choice.
Red Hat - Paloma, Princess of all Scarecrows. [150 GC]
Yellow Hat - Horatio, The best scarecrow ever. [30 GC]

The ribbon from the previous 'Wedding Bouquet' side quest will be used here. If you don't you'll get a Certificate, instead of gold, dunno what it's used for.

Side Quests 2
This will list all the side quests in Marshbarrow, and Tanglewood.

Marshbarrow
Marriford -

(The reward of this quest will be used in another side quest further into the game)
Math Problems - Talk to Iain in the village school to the north of the entrance to the village.




You'll need to complete the 'Piracy' side quest to continue.
Interact with Megan the pirate on the right side of the pirate cave next to some gold to ask her for help with maths.




Return to Iain and interact with him. He will reward you with a Toffee Apple.


(The reward of this quest will be used in another side quest further into the game)
Yvette's Gone Missing - Talk to Helinia at the westernmost house, past the river.




Now go all the way to West Marshbarrow Western Inn Pass. The cat will be in a small hole near some waterfalls in the far north of the map, once you find him you will be given a choice.

Returning the cat causes Helinia to be mad that it's muddy and tell you to keep it, thus you get a cat.
Leaving it be, well, leaves it be.




Choose to return the cat, then go talk with Helinia.


West Marriford -

Variety is the Spice of Life - Talk to Jacob at the north house at the start of West Marriford.




If you completed the 'Orphan's Best Friend' side quest, you'll be able to give him the Chewy Sweet you received from it.

You will be rewarded with 1 Fleece Tunic.


Night Owl - Talk to Penny inside the left house in the upper left corner of West Marriford, then interact with the door in the right house.




Now you'll need to go all the way back to East Marshbarrow Forest. (Right of the sign that said 'East - Wrong way')
You'll find him in the previously locked house. Go inside and interact with the fireplace.




You'll need to complete the 'Piracy' side quest that you get here to continue.
After completing it, return to Penny and talk with her. She'll accuse you of lying. That's it.


Piracy - You'll obtain this quest midway through Night Owl. Go get the parcel from inside the Western Inn on the right at the end of a bed.




Return to the smuggler in the house and talk to him. You'll be taken below to the Pirate Cave. Talk to him again to receive your reward of 100 Gold Coins.


Pirate Cave -

Rat Problems - Talk to Leon on the right side of the Pirate Cave located in Marshbarrow Cove.




Next, get the cat from the 'Yvette's Gone Missing' side quest. Once you have, return to Leon and talk to him.

He will trade you a Pirate Cutlass (Tye) for her.


Tanglewood
Ant City -

Aunty Day Care - Talk to Iggy in South Ant City. She will be in the third house, counting from the left.



She will want three ant children that you will need to find.
  • Ant 1 (Blubbs) - He will be in the upper right corner of East Spider Cave, to the right of a barrel.




  • Ant 2 (Miffy) - She will be in the settlement inside Tanglewood Clearing. Interact with the upper right grave in the upper right corner of the map.




  • Ant 3 (Pluggy) - He will be in the upper right corner of Tanglewood Peak, to the right of a waterfall.



Now return to Ant City and talk to Iggy. (You can use the tunnel inside the hut across the bridge from the old inn to get there)
You will be rewarded with Ant Acid.


Royal Garments - Talk to the Ant Queen. She'll be in the center house in South Ant City.




Next, continue the story until the old inn near the settlement is cleaned up. The Spider Threads will be in a pouch in the upper right corner of the inn.




Now go back to the Ant City and talk to the Queen. (You can use the tunnel inside the hut across the bridge from the old inn to get there)
You will be rewarded with 10 Web Strands. (This will be useful later with a person in Silverlynn)


Tanglewood Clearing (The Settlement) -

(Be sure to do this before resting at the old inn)
Broom Repair - Talk to Madeline in the right house near the upper right corner of the map.




You can find the replacement broom bristles as a rooster nest. It will be in the cave on the upper left corner of Tanglewood Hill.
You'll have to fight a strong rooster with around 5,000 HP for it.




After defeating it, take the nest and return to Madeline, then interact with the broom on the wall to fix it. Afterwards, speak with her again.
You will be rewarded with a Spider Fang, a weapon for Tye.

Side Quests 3
This will list all the side quests in Morness Mine, and Silverlynn except the last one.


Morness Mine
Vallake -

Shawl Delivery Service - Talk to Gertrud in the upper left house of the map.




The shawl will be in the upper left corner of West Morness Mine, near a wooden cart.




Return to Gertrud after you get it.
You will not be rewarded, but this side quest is mandatory to continue the game.


Forgotten Lunch - Talk to Fergen in the bottom right house of the map.




Now go all the way to the rightmost guard house and interact with the creature in front of it. It'll have around 3,000 to 4,000 HP.




After fighting, go inside and get the food.
Then, return to Fergen and talk to him.
You will not be rewarded, but this side quest is mandatory to continue the game.


Cold Night - Talk to Jorika in the bottom left house of the map on the left side.




The coal will be on the bottom side of Morness Mine, to the left of the stairway to BF1.




Return to Jorika once you have the coal and talk with her.
You will not be rewarded, but this side quest is mandatory to continue the game.


Cave Village -

Music from your Bones - Talk to Keyla in the house to the left of the village entrance.




Next, you'll need to complete the 'Guard Dog' side quest to continue.
Once you have, go back and talk to Keyla. She will teach Tye 'Rock Song' as a reward.


Tree Sweets - If you completed the 'Math Problems' side quest and got the Toffee Apple, go into the house to the right of the village entrance and talk with Otra.




After you give him the Toffee Apple, you will be rewarded with a Rock Ring.


Hadron - You'll unlock this quest midway through doing the story in Silverlynn, and only if you gave Dalvrok the Ring of Haron.

Return and talk to him before you leave for Greendale.




Next, go to the Royal Jewellers and grab the Metal Scissors there, they'll be near the old man, then return to Dalvrok.
After releasing him from the evil spirit, talk to him again to get a Tribal Staff.


Silverlynn
Silverlynn -

Old Fashioned - Talk to Tomasina in the house on the right side of Silverlynn.



Then, go talk to Bracken, the gardener. He will be in the Academy Gardens, on the left side.




Next, deliver his rose to her.
You will get a choice related to it's spikes.
  • 'Leave it as it is' - This will make the quest continue as normal, you can just read ahead.
  • 'Pluck them out' - This will make her move out when you give the flowers to her and start the what I'll call 'Heartbroken' route of this side quest, read that part ahead.

Normal - Now go back and talk to Tomasina. You will be rewarded with a Sacred Potion.

Heartbroken - Now go back and talk to Tomasina. She will move away to the empty house in Greendale. Talk to her there to receive a full Artisan Armor Set. (Shield, Helmet, Tunic, Boots)


Web Development - Talk to Adrienna in a house on the right side of Silverlynn. You'll need to hand her one of the web strands you have and fetch some fabric.
(You can get some strands from the quest from the ant queen and from the blue spider enemy in the spider cave in Tanglewood)




You'll find it in the left house at the start of Silverlynn Academy Residencies, talk to Arnold inside, next to some curtains.




Now go back and talk to Adrienna again. You'll be rewarded with a Spider Cloak.


Guard Dog - Talk to Jenny, who is pretending to be a tree to the left of Silverlynn Park.



Then interact with the dog in front of the house.
You can then find the toy in the princess's room in the palace, next to her bed.




Now interact with the dog to make him leave (The dog will be on the right side of Silverlynn, near the river.)
Your reward will be the bone at the bottom for the 'Music from your Bones' side quest and the Soul of Edilia in the purple chest.




Silverlynn Residencies -

Wardrobe Malfunction - Talk to Veronica at the 2nd house, counting from the left on the upper side of Silverlynn Residencies.




Now if you haven't yet, go back to the Cave Market and buy the Cave Dress for 50 gold and make Eirwen wear it. After doing so, talk with Veronica again.
To get your reward, go back to the Cave Market and interact with Veronica. You'll get a Sparkle Blade.


Palace Gardens -

Golden Fishscale - Talk to Lady Netalia to the right of the pond in the Palace Fish Pond. You'll need the Golden Fishscale from Troll Tree 2.




Choose to trade the scale, you will be rewarded with 750 Gold Coins.
If you choose to not trade it you will instead receive the Whisper Wand, a weapon for Cerys.

Sea Glass - Talk to Durk inside the Royal Jewellers' house in the West Palace Gardens.




You'll need the Sea Glass from Troll Tree 4.
You will be rewarded with a Surge Ring.

Side Quests 4
This will list all the side quests in Greendale, and Nydor's Realm, the last quest from Silverlynn and also the Medeia Side Quest.

Silverlynn - Palace Garden's Maze

Princess Gone Wild (Thief) - Talk to the Princess at the center of the maze. You'll need the Eye Mask found in Garden of Giggles through Tree Troll 10.




Next, talk to Leonne at Silverlynn Park.




Now talk to Benjamin on the stairs to the academy.




You'll then find the Princess in North Silver Wood, near the path to Medeia's House.




Proceed back to Silvelynn and interact with the thief in the bottom right corner of the map.




Squirrel Man (Thief) will then attack you. He will have between 6,000 and 7,500 HP.
Now return to Benjamin and give him his pocket money back.
He will reward you with 1,000 Gold Coins.


Silver Wood / Greendale
Medeia's House - Soulstress Route -

Medeia - Once you have Cerys in your party, go to the Soulstress Training Facility's basement and read the spell that is marked on the wall. She will then learn 'Charm Breaker' which you can then use on Medeia's House to break the seal on it, go inside, and talk to Medeia.




Next, continue to Greendale and go to Greendale Clearing. You'll need to talk to the lady in front of the castle.




Afterwords talk to Medeia inside. You'll then need to find an orb which will be through the top of Central Greendale Forest.




The Realm Orb will be in the chest in Greenwood Cave.




After you get it, return to Medeia and talk to her, when she leaves you'll be able to explore the second floor.
You'll find -

Greendale
Greendale -

Fashion Animal - Talk to Carly in North Greendale, in the house with the backyard full of animals with wigs.




Next, go to the courthouse on the very right side of North Greendale Forest and interact with the jail cell with the pig inside.




Then go back to the soldier's headquarters and interact with the soldier in the middle to get her keys. Afterwards, proceed to jail break the pig from the cell.




After you obtain him, go back to Carly and talk with her.
You will be rewarded with Crafted Boots.


West Greendale Forest -

Golden Feather - Talk to Rayanna in the upper left corner of the map, inside the cave.




If you still have the Golden Feather from before and didn't sell it, then you can make Tye stronger.
His physical strength will go up by 40, and his HP will go up by 100.


Nydor's Realm
Nydor's Realm -

Pumpkin Secrets - Talk to Pumpkin Head in the upper right corner of the Woods.




Now go back to the shrine and interact with the statue. You'll end up in a secret room.




You can get Realm Elixir in the chest, and if you interact with the bookcase on the left, one skill for a party member, which you have to choose between Harte, Tye/Eliza, Eirwen, and Rhys to learn it.

'Sparkette' - Weak spell that can cause ongoing burning. [10 MP]



Rhys' Wedding
This will list all the options you need to choose to complete this secret side quest, which will then give you a scene at the end.


Applemere Isle
When speaking with Rhys at the top of the hill to the right of the ranch (the place with the pig),
he'll ask you why you're there. Choose the option 'A bit of peace and quiet'.




Marriford
Inside the house to the right of Tilly, past the river, there will be a guy on the left. Talk to him and then choose the option 'I'd rather marry for love'.




Garden of Giggles
Find Troll Tree 10 on the west side of Silver Wood, which will let you get to the Garden of Giggles. Then speak with the fairy in the center and choose the option 'He is NOT a pixie!'.




Silverlynn Residencies
Save and then speak with Claude in the middle of the street and choose the final option, 'Get away from her!'.

Tye will then say 'I think you have an admirer, Willow' and from what I've read, if he doesn't, you'll need to reload and choose the 'She doesn't need to change' option.




Preparations
After selecting all the correct options, you can now start preparing.
Talk to Pollyanna inside the rightmost house in Silverlynn, just before the path to the palace.




After talking with her, go to the leftmost house, directly to the left, and talk with Chloe there.
She will ask you to deliver some dresses before you can buy yours.

You'll need to deliver to:
  1. Silke at the academy taking some tests.




  2. Jill who has a house in the North East Quarter (Silverlynn Residencies).




  3. Isobel who works in the palace for the princess.



Once you've done that, go back and buy the dress for 250 Gold Coins.
Then go to the wedding planner to get your license and finally go to the church in the south of Silverlynn and enter it to start the wedding.

I'd recommend getting all the characters first before you do it, just a side thing but I reckon it's nice, you can get all 7 characters and then get married just before you have to leave Silverlynn, 6 if you're in the Soulstress Route.








Emory Paintings
This will list all the locations where Emory will be, so you can get all the paintings.

Elderose Port
Talk to the man doing the painting of the happy wedding inside the cave shrine. Then when you have Tye in your party, go talk to him. He will be inside the inn in the leftmost room.
Talk to him to get a painting of Tye.




Marshbarrow Northern Inn
Emory will be on the right side of the Marshbarrow Northern Inn. You can't miss him.
Talk to him to get a painting of Rhys.




Morness Mine Checkpoint
He will be in the hospital on the right side of the map.
Talk to him to get a painting of Eirwen.




Silverlynn Academy Gardens
Once you have Cerys in your party, go talk to Emory in the Center House on the upper side of the map. (You have to do this before saving Harte or he will leave)




Palace Gardens
He will be on the left side of the gardens, north of a Golden Feather.
When you have Harte in your party, go back and talk to him to get his painting.




Greendale
Emory will be inside his house to the left of the market.
If you have gotten every other painting, then you can talk to him to finally get Willows' Painting. (Eliza's if you have her in your party)









Tree Troll Locations 1
"There's always atleast one useful thing in what they say Willo. That's what everyone says."
"It's said that a troll will teach you something useful if you can figure out what is rubish."



1 - Oldwood -
In the path towards the Traveller's Shrine, there will be one at the left turn.




'The south is the opposite to the north, whilst east and west stay apart.'
'Mushrooms are my favourite, but berries stain my face.'
'A magnet would help for the grate by the port, the left one, of course.' <<
'A tangled web can be woven with ease, but cut with a simple knife.'

After talking with him, you'll be able to take a magnet from the academy classroom.
Use it on the left grates located in the docks to obtain a Rusted Key, which you can use on the chest in the Traveller's Shrine.




2 - Applemere Isle -
A little bit after getting off the ferry, go further inland to the forested area, then go right past the evil bunny enemy.
There will be a Pip Armor in the chest.




'Pigs in the sky are such a delight, especially if they have wings.'
'I do so long for summer days, with just a touch of rain.'
'Look for an arrow in the sand, and look out to the sea. Throw ten coins into the waves, to bring a rich surprise. You'll have to wait, it won't come at once, go for a little walk!' <<
'My feet do ache, I'm such a state, but I'm sure my health will win.'

After talking to him, go back to the beach where you arrived. Once you locate the arrow in the top right corner of the beach, you'll be able to interact with the place at the center to throw 10 coins in. You'll then need to wait. (It took quite a while until it was time to come back. Just be sure to remember to come back.)
After enough time on that walk, there will be a fish when you come back. Interact with it to get a Golden Fishscale.
(This will be later needed in Silverlynn, specifically in the Palace Gardens)




3 - Applemere Isle -
Towards the forest, past the ranch, it will be on the other side of the river.




'Apples make me grumble, picnics make me mad.'
'Birds are tasty but tickle my throat. The feathers just aren't right.'
'I don't want visitors unless I can eat them up!'
'A barrel on an island, can lead you to a chest.' <<

After you talk to him, you'll be able to interact with the barrel back at the village to the right of the shop. Stand on top of the barrel (bug) and interact with it. You'll find a tunnel towards the shop's back. There you will find an Agility Ring in the chest.




4 - East Marshbarrow Forest -
It will be on the east path from the sign that said 'East - Wrong way', to the left of the river.




'Skipping is fun, don't you think? But be careful not to trip.'
'The bodies of trees hold interesting things, when washed up on the shore.' <<
'A bubble or two will never do. You want one hundred at least.'

After talking with him, there will be 2 logs you can get items from at the beach you start in.

Then go to Marshbarrow Cove.
There will be 100 Gold Coins in the log to the left side of the beach.



(The Sea Glass will be needed later on in the West Palace Gardens)


5 - Marshbarrow Marsh -
Towards the end of the marsh, to the north of the sign that says 'Bridges may be slippery underfoot'.




'A pig with a watch will always appreciate some toast.'
'Flowers and I do not get on, my nose is too big to like them.'
'A tickle or two will always help a mushroom feel alive.' <<
'I think I'll dye my hair bright red, then I can look like you! Tye: Like me? TT: I could almost be your twin. Tye: I don't think so!'

After talking to him, go back a bit to the big mushroom to the east and interact with it. It will turn around and stay glaring. You will now need to find Tree Troll 6 for the second part of this puzzle.




6 - Marshbarrow Marsh Northern Inn -
It will be directly to the right of the Northern Inn.




'Logic will always triumph, though emotions will have their day.'
'Newly awakened is a grumpy state, food will change the mood.' <<
'I find in particular mushrooms sulk, until they're given more.' (part of above?)
'Fiction is all that matters to me, real life means nothing at all.'

After talking to him, you can now return to the big mushroom from before. You will need the compost that you get in West Marriford.
After you give him compost, you will be given 4 Mushroom Spores. Given what the troll says, it may be possible that you can give him more, and every time you do, he will give you more spores in return. I didn't confirm this though.




7 - House Path -
It will be on the right side of the path, close to the end. You can't miss it.




'Spiders make my skin crawl, but blue ones are so rare.' <<
'I'd venture out into the woods, but only for a dare!'
'I like to keep things equal, that makes it nice and fair.'
'A troll can be a poet, or not as the case may be.'

This may be about how you'll later find blue spiders that drop Web Strand a battle item that may tangle enemies. They can be found as a one-time enemy in West Spider Cave and as a respawnable enemy in Tanglewood Peak.

Once you have talked with him, go to the bottom right side of Settlement Path and interact with the blue spider.
You'll then need to keep it until you unlock the Collector's Hut in West Silver Wood. He will give you 900 Gold Coins for it. (1500 if you have Eliza in the party)




Side note, be sure to collect some Web Strand from the blue spider enemies in the spider cave.
This web will also be later used in a sidequest in Silverlynn.


8 - Tanglewood Hill -
It will be on the left side of the map, near a cliff.




'I hate heights, and yet I live up here on a hill!'
'The easiest way to go up is by following the direct path.'
'Shake the tree that's surrounded by logs' <<
'Never trust a spider unless you can see all of it's eyes at once.'

Afterwords, go to the right side of the map, the tree she spoke of will be there.
You will get a Bough Bow.



Tree Troll Locations 2
This section will list Tree Troll 9 to 15

9 - Morness Mine Shrine Garden -
It will be at the start of the Shrine Garden, to the left.




'Bright are the stars that awake in the deepest night.'
'A cabbage or two will always cure a bad dream.'
'An offering on the table can bring about good fortune.' <<
'Always be hasty, never wait, but eat before you act!'

The table is right next to the tree.




The reward you get is based on the gold you leave.
  • 1 Gold - Strong Potion
  • 25 Gold - Fresh Fish
  • 50 Gold - Farmer's Boots
  • 100 Gold - Sacred Potion


10 - West Silver Wood -
It will be in the top left of the map.




'Well, I'm in a pickle and no mistake!

To find it you must dance on the sun.' <<
'Where the wind blows I will go.
I can only hope that it doesn't snow.'

This one appears to be three poems.
You'll need to head in the direction of Medeia's House. The sun will be in the tunnel to it, just step on the top right section of it. You can get an Eye Mask and a Fairy Flute here.
The Eye Mask will be needed later on for the 'Princess Gone Wild (Thief)' sidequest.




When you're about to leave Silverlynn, be sure to come back here and speak with the special visitor. After fighting her, she will give Tye a Fairy Ring.
She will have between 12,000 and 14,500 HP.





11 - Academy Gardens -
It will be on the right side of the Academy Gardens, to the right of a bench.




'Are you purple, or are you blue? Are you made from sticky glue?'
'Are you scared or are you breave? Will you go below a grave?'
'Can you find where Titus lies? If you can, is there a prize?' <<
'Would you like to eat my nose? Or would you rather chew my toes?'

You can find Titus's grave to the left of the Silverlynn Church.
At the end of the tunnel is an exit to the Palace Gardens. The chest there will give you a spell scroll containing Royal Pardon, which uses 25 MP to revive a party member.
You have to choose between Willow and Eirwen to learn it.




12 - West Palace Gardens -
It will be on the left side of the Royal Jewellers' house in East Palace Gardens.




'It's no palace for me, I live in a hole. I hope I don't trip over a mole.'
'If you venture into the maze, be careful you don't leave in a daze.
The flowers which glow all yellow and blue will show to you the right way through.' <<
'I don't like flowers, they make me sneeze, I much prefer the leaves of trees.'
'I've said all I can so you should go, I really hope it doesn't snow.'

This one is hinting that you should follow the orange and blue flowers to reach the princess in the center of the maze, which is the starting point of the 'Princess Gone Wild (Thief) sidequest.




13 - East Uleiria's Realm -
It will be on the right side of the map, to the right of a river, past a bridge.




'If I were an octopus, I'd live deep in the sea.'
'I wish I had a bright red scarf, I'd tie it round my nose.'
'If you knock beneath the light, you'll find a treasure trove.' <<
'I'd like to have an elephant, I think I'd call it Rose.'

It's talking about the torch just up the hill a little bit, to the right of a statue.
Interact with the wall beneath it to get inside the treasure trove and get:

It will be in the upper right corner of the map, with a wolf enemy nearby.

15 - Irtak's Domain -
It will be in the community area towards the center.

'You should look for the sunken boulder and bury down below.' <<

The boulder will be in the first area of this domain. Interact with it to find an area with a chest.

After traversing through Morness Mine it will be to the right side under a tree just at the start.




Uleiria's Realm -
It will be right at the start just before a bridge, to the left.




Irtak's Domain -
It will be in the Place of Offering north of the sign post, in the middle of the path behind a pillar.

Go to the well in the Tanglewood West Path, if you drink from it and then choose Tye, you'll learn 'Cleansing Wings'. If you choose Willow, she'll learn 'Antidote' Choosing Rhys has no effect.




Morness Mine

    This is a choice you have to make for one of them to learn the respective skill. Simply pay the 250 gold in the Cave Village and use their meditation facilities.

Go to the Soulstress Training Facility's basement and read the spell that is marked on the wall there.
This is used to break the seal on Medeia's House.

Edilia's Blessing - Helps protect and boost an ally during battle. [15MP] [Edilia Route]
You must first go into the 'old underground cloister' in the middle of Silverlynn Academy Gardens, near the well and select the 'No chance.' option when talking to the guy there.

Then, when you reach Greendale talk to Sister Leonne in the cave shrine and choose between Willow and Cerys to learn it.

  • Portal Bow + Sacred Potion + 1000 Gold Coins - They will be in some chests, in the armory.




  • Realm Elixir - Follow the 'Pumpkin Secrets' sidequest, you'll end up in a secret room, it will be in the chest to the right.




  • Soothing Cream - It will be inside the house in the Garden Area, in a pot to the right side, south of the switch.




Main Quest Walkthrough 1
This will walk you through the Elderose Port, Applemere Isle, Marshbarrow, and Tanglewood parts of the game.
It will not mention any side things, watch for that.

Chapter 1 - Harvest Eve Preparation - Elderose Port -
Elderose Port -

Go to the docks and talk to the guy on the left, looking out into the sea.




Then proceed north and onwards towards Oldwood Academy.




Oldwood Academy -

Go talk with Professor Abner in the eastern dorm. Afterwords, go back to Elderose Port and choose a topic.

  • Dimenia (Soulstresses) - West Edelrose Port right in the middle, will be a woman and her three dancers. She'll give you a Soul Charm.




  • Brother Gregory (Edilia) - Central Edelrose Port in the cave shrine. He'll be at the far back, near a statue. He'll give you a Book of Edolie.




  • Godor (Dwarfs) - East Edelrose Port in the sculptors' house to the south. He'll give you a Broken Chisel.



After choosing the topic of your book, you'll need to talk to Tye. He will be in Oldwood to the east of the entrance, in his house.




The next day, be sure to grab your luggage in your room and then meet Tye at the docks, then proceed south to continue.


Chapter 2 - Harvest on Applemere - Applemere Isle -
Applemere Isle -

When you arrive in Applemere Isle, look for the inn towards the back of the village.




Proceed to talk to the guy on the left. Then go to the farm.
When you get there, talk to Eirwen inside the house on the right.




Once you're done, go back to the inn and sleep.


Celebration Hill -

Talk to Emily, who will be to the right of the goats.




Then go to the beach and talk with Molly in front of the stage.




After that, there will be a goat on the left side of the village.
Get him and then return to Emily.




You'll now need to talk to Rhys. He will be at the top of the little mountain in the forest past the ranch.




Then, proceed to the village. After encountering the lava enemies, go back in the direction of the farm, then after another encounter go back and hide in the hole.




Wait it out and then go towards the village. You'll need to talk to Suzette at the entrance.




Afterwards, return to the farm and talk to Padoff, who is standing there.




Then continue to the tunnel that leads to a beach where there will be a boat you can take.




Chapter 3 - In pursuit of Eirwen - Marshbarrow -
Marshbarrow Bay -

You'll arrive in Marshbarrow Bay. Continue until you reach Merriford, to the west.

Then carry on until you reach Marshbarrow Eastern Inn. Talk to the innkeeper to get the gate pass to continue. It'll cost 20 gold.




Marshbarrow Marsh -

You'll need to continue through until you're on the west side of Marshbarrow Marsh. Go south from the west exit to reach the soldier's camp.

Interact with the soldier on the right, then go back and continue westward towards West Marshbarrow Marsh. (There will be a cave in the upper right side that you can rest at)


Marshbarrow Northern Inn -

You will need to head north towards the Northern Inn, then talk to the innkeeper there.
Afterwards, continue further north.

Once you get to the bottom of the upcoming stairs, you'll fall into the Ant City.


Tanglewood
Ant City -

Go south to the Queen. She will be in the center house with statues out front, on the left.
After talking with her, go north through the exit.




Tanglewood -

At the beginning of Tanglewood, you'll need to head west.


Tanglewood West Path -

The Spider Cave entrance will be at the center of the top of the map. 




Spider Cave -

Once you enter the cave, you will need to head for the central passageway.


West Spider Cave -

After going through the spider tunnel, you'll end up in West Spider Cave. Keep heading north until you reach Eirwen. You'll need to defeat the spider there. It will have around 6,000 to 10,000 HP.




After defeating it, talk to Eirwen.
Once she is in your party, head east to the settlement and speak to the person below some trees at the entrance.




Chapter 4 - A forest retreat -

Tanglewood Clearing (The Settlement) -

Go all the way west and talk to the guard standing in the road. Then head west to the inn in the Settlement Outskirts.




Once you go into it and wake up, go outside and talk to Eirwen.
After that, go into the village and talk with Rhys inside the house in the bottom left corner of the map.




Next, go talk to Tye inside the chicken coop on the right side of the map, near the entrance.




Now go back to the inn, which will be looking mighty spiffy, and talk to Rhys.




Afterwards, go back to the cave shrine in the center of the settlement.
Proceed forward until you get to the inner cave, then interact with the Dark Gate. After that, leave and talk with the chief. Then return to the inn and rest.

Once you wake up, you'll need to talk to Rhys.




Now, go across the bridge and continue left until you reach the sign outside the cave. Read it, and then go back to the village gate and talk to the guard.

Then you'll need Glazeroots, which can be found at the very top of Tanglewood Peak, to the right.




Now go back to the inn and interact with the letter on the bridge, then continue onto West Tanglewood Clearing and into the cave at the very left of the map.

Continue until you fall into Morness Mine.

Main Quest Walkthrough 2
This will walk you through the Morness Mine, and Silverlynn parts of the game.
It will not mention any side things, watch for that.

Morness Mine
Morness Mine -

When you arrive at the mine, head into the bottom right corner and go down the stairs, then go to the bottom right side of the map again and into the entrance towards the Shrine Garden. Proceed through the tunnel into it, and then interact with the locked door in it.




Shrine Garden -

Once you interact with it, go back until you get the fox event. You'll then need to go back up and to the left into East Morness Mine.

East Morness Mine -

Go all the way to the bottom left and get the key. Once you have it, return to Shrine Garden, then go through the door and into Vallake. Talk to the chief in the upper right house.




Vallake -

Once you have talked with him, you'll want to complete the 'Shawl Delivery Service', 'Forgotten Lunch' and 'Cold Night' side quests.

After you've completed them, go back and talk with the chief again. Following that, you'll need to go back into Morness Mine, to the top left side, and interact with the switch there, then go into the cave next to it.




Chapter 5 - Silverlynn calls -
Checkpoint -

Then continue through the tunnels. You'll end up at a checkpoint.




Talk to the dwarf there, then continue and talk to the dwarf at the north exit, after which proceed north through the Silverlynn tunnel and go through the northwest passage and into the cave village.


Cave Village -

You'll need to talk to the guard blocking you at the bottom house and then find a gift for Dalvrok the chief. ( You can use the inn's hot baths here, and Rhys' physical strength will increase by 15. You can also sleep here as many times as you want after paying the 250 gold. She'll say until you leave the village, but I confirmed that you can still sleep here after and, by proxy, use their facilities.)




There are 2 options for the gift. (You can only choose one. Once you have chosen, you can't get the other one)
  • Ring of Haron - It will be in the chest in the Grave Cave at the very north.




  • Old Lamp - It will be at the Eastern Cave, on the rightmost side of Silverlynn Tunnel, stuck in the rubble on the wall.



He will accept the Ring of Haron while stating that the old lamp is merely an old discarded mine lamp. Regardless of the choice, you still get the keys, but if you give him the ring you'll unlock a later side quest (Hadron).

Now leave the village and proceed north towards the exit to Silverlynn.




You'll then need to continue north to the city.


Silverlynn
Silverlynn -

Once you arrive in Silverlynn, you'll need to go to the academy and talk to Sabrina, the maid on the second floor.




After talking to her, head to the church at the bottom of Silverlynn, near the entrance, and talk to Cerys. She will be on the right side. Once you're done talking, she'll join your party.




Next, go back to the academy and go to the Academy Gardens through the kitchen.
You'll need to enter the leftmost house in the upper left corner and proceed to interact with the book to the left of the bed, on the right.




After that, go to the palace.


Chapter 6 - The General's Son -
Silverlynn Palace -

You'll need to talk to the guard past the left entrance. After that, go through the right entrance and into the palace. General Jacob will be in the first room, counting from the right.




Now go to the General's House, located at the bottom of Silver Wood Soldier Residencies, and interact with the book in Harte's room.




Afterwords, go to the Soulstress training room and speak with their teacher right in front. You'll then need to speak with the pink haired girl dancing in the wrong way to all the other girls.




Once done, go back to the palace and, through the left entrance, speak with the guard inside. You'll then need to find 5 Gold Feathers in the Palace Gardens, which is through the room General Jacob is in.
  • Feather 1 - It will be in the north side of the Palace Gardens, to the left of a statue.




  • Feather 2 - It will be in the bottom left corner of the Palace Gardens, south of Emory.




  • Feather 3 - It will be in the male changing rooms in the Palace Fish Pond.




  • Feather 4 - It will be south of the changing rooms in the Palace Fish Pond.




  • Feather 5 - It will be in the upper left corner of East Palace Gardens, near a tree.



Once you have them all go back to the guard, he will reward you by letting you keep one of the feathers, which is worth 500 gold, but you can also keep it for later in Greendale to make Tye stronger.

Now go back to Silverlynn Residencies. Eliza will be near the pond on the bottom side of the map.




After talking with her, go back to the Soulstress training room and talk to Eliza there. After doing so, go through the tunnel and talk to Harte on the right.




Now go through the glass pane into Uleiria's Realm.



Main Quest Walkthrough 3
This will walk you through the Uleiria's Realm, Greendale, Irtak's Domain, and White Void parts of the game.
It will not mention any side things, watch for that.

Uleiria's Realm
Uleiria's Realm -

You'll need to talk to Tabitha in West Uleiria's Realm.




Afterwords, defeat all the plant monsters.
  1. It will be south of Tabitha right when you start this quest.




  2. It will be in the upper left corner of West Uleiria's Realm, past the bridge.




  3. It will be near where you started.




  4. It will be in East Uleiria's Realm, a bit up the hill.




  5. It will be on the right side of East Uleiria's Realm, near a table.



Now go talk with Uleiria at the top of the hill and prepare for a fight.
She will have between 25,000 and 27,500 HP and can hit hard and put people to sleep.




Afterwards, you can go to Silver Wood Soldier Residencies to continue the story.
(At this point, the special visitor will be in the Garden of Giggles, see TT10, the Collector's Hut will also be open, see TT7, and you should check the Skills section so you don't miss the beginning part of getting a skill)


Talk to the soldier in the soldier's headquarters.




Chapter 7 - Return to Tanglewood - Greendale -
Greendale -

Once you arrive in Greendale, you can head north to get Eirwen. She will be inside the soldier's headquarters in North Greendale.




Afterwords, go to Central Greendale Forest and speak with the ant in the bottom center of the map, then go through the tunnel to end up at the next Dark Gate. There will be a heal cave to the right of it, when you're ready go through it.




Irtak's Domain
Irtak's Domain -

Go to the community area and talk to the worker there.




Now go to Bilva's cave, which is the middle one in the village.




After resting, go to the cave to the right of Bilva's and speak with the sprites there.
When you're done, go to the place of offerings to face Irtak. He will have between 24,000 and 26,000 HP.




Chapter 8 - Restoration of Edilia - White Void -
White Void -

When you wake up, you'll be in the sleeping quarters.

Among the things you can get here is a Golden Quill weapon for Willow in Willow's Library, HP up for everyone in the Party Room, a quiz that gives you gold in the Garden, and some new skills. (Check Skill section)

HP goes up as follows:
  • Willow will go up by 75.
  • Rhys will go up by 150.
  • Tye will go up by 50.
  • Eirwen will go up by 80.
  • Harte will go up by 95.
  • Cerys will go up by 105.

Orella's Quiz question and answers are as follows:
  • Which plant cures Web Fever? - Glazeroot
  • What creates spores that may poison enemies? - Mushrooms
  • What kind of truffles grow underground in Edolie? - Health and Skill
  • Which colour flowers form arches in the beautiful city of Silverlynn? - Red
  • And, finally, which creature uses pollen against its enemy with its "Pollen Burp"? - Fairy Frog

You'll be rewarded with 2500 Gold Coins for getting all the answers correct.

Cloud Area 2 will be Eliza's room where she and Harte get married.
After speaking with everyone, you'll need to go to Cloud Area 3 and talk to Aristar there.




Oldwood
Oldwood -

Then you'll be thrown into Oldwood. Head towards the academy and speak with Professor Abner. He will be in the basement. (Nora in the kitchen and Demini in the western dorm will be shops)




After talking with him, go to The Traveller's Shrine and interact with the coffin, then interact with the third pillar counting from the left.

You'll then need a rose, which you can find at the bottom of the map, on the left. Insert it in the third pillar and it'll open an entrance on the left side of the thrones.




Open the chests and then proceed to the fourth Dark Gate.



Main Quest Walkthrough 4
This will walk you through the Nydor's Realm part of the game.
It will not mention any side things, watch for that.

Nydor's Realm
Nydor's Realm -

You'll need to head to the right hallway and speak with the girl there. Then go to the very right and interact with the enchanted fire in the doorway. The room to the left of that will be a heal spot. Just talk to the person there and then rest on the bed.

Go to the kitchen and get the matches from the chest there, then go to Edilia's Shrine. There will be some candles to be lit on the left of her statue. After doing so, the previously barred door below will be open. Go through and into the Sun Room. Interact with the book there.




Now go all the way back to the outside area and interact with the very top left window.




Once inside, head to the right and proceed through to the prison. Talk to Bilva there, and then head to the kitchen to talk to the servant girl.




Now go through the spikes in the upper left corner of the Garden Area. Irtak will be in his room in the upper left corner. Prepare for a fight. There will be a heal spot back in the Woods, in the bottom left corner.

Irtak will have around 35,000 HP.




You will be healed afterwards. Now head back to the building in the garden area.




Interact with the door now that you have the key for it from Irtak and then flip the switch inside. It will lower the spikes in the Sun Room.

Go back there and go to Uleiria's Room on the left. You'll need to interact with the top right bookcase to get a spell to get past the blue fire from before.




Then return back to the blue fire and go through it, and down the ladder into the basement cells. There will be a fairy you'll need to talk to.




After talking with her, go into the Mirror Room and interact with the mirror.




Once inside, go face Uleiria. She will have between 36,500 and 38,000 HP.




With Uleiria defeated, proceed to the Throne Room and face Nydor.




Nydor will have 2 phases, I am unsure if you get the second phase by HP loss or turns that passed, nor am I sure if Nydor's HP carries over to his 2nd phase, Uleiria will join him to fight you in his second phase.

You will not be healed in the transition from phase 1 to phase 2.

Uleiria will have between 37,000 and 38,000 HP.
Nydor will have between 40,500 and 42,000 HP OR 80,500 and 82,000 HP if the HP carries over between phases.

After that huge battle, go back to the outside area and speak with Edilia.

The maze is completely accurate from left to right but is a bit scuffed from up to down, only by a cell though, not too bad and the overall shape and pathing is still correct.

In regards to your questions about the ending, yes, that was indeed meant to be a hook for a sequel. Unfortunately due to health issues, the dev had to quite game making :(
