Best FPS and Visibilty Settings for POLYGON (ENG)

Hey, I looked on youtube and no one made a guide like this so I thought I'd make one.

General Settings

Screen mode: Fullscreen
Resolution: 1920x1080 or Higher (maybe lower it if u still struggle)
Vertical Sync: Off
Resolution scale: 100% (maybe lower it if u still struggle)
Volumetric fog: Off
FOV: Lower FOV = More FPS (I play with 117)
Game FPS limit: Uncapped
Lobby FPS limit: 60


Quality Setings

Texture Quality: Ultra or High
Shadow Quality: Low
Effects Quality: Low
Shaders Quality: Low
Post process Quality: Low
Terrain Quality: Low
View Distance: Low

I hope I was able to make you a pro, write me if you have any suggestions for improvement.

ofc u get better FPS with lower 3D resolution, but u get worse visibilty too :BeginnerGolfball:

I use the exact settings stated in this guide but from my experience decreasing your 3d resolution to 90% gave me about 10 frames:steamthumbsup:

Anyone still wondering, View distance only effects the texture view distance, all trees/ bushes/ shrubs/walls/debri/players are still seen at the same distance, just with lower resolution models, causing a ton of pop-in effect and really actually making it distracting to find players at a distance without it being on high.

Just an update - the game runs on the Steam Deck with Proton Experimental, other Proton versions don't seem to allow EAC to work.

Maybe do a little higher view distance, i know it takes away FPS but also makes you able to see further and spot enemys from long distance, i use the same settings just with high view distance
