The formula
To find out, you'll have to take your distance at a station and apply it to this formula for d:
s = [(d - 25) / 35] + 1

If you crash, use your crashing distance and apply that instead. You'll have to ignore the decimals. The decimals will just show you how far you got in one station before you crashed.

If you've reached the terminal station, use this instead:
s = [(d - 127) / 35] + 2
Examples
For the medium record of 10172m, 289 stations were completed.
For the hard record of 7022m, 200 stations were completed.
For the extreme record of 7757m, 220 stations were completed.
