MetHy started this CBP project and was actively looking for mappers to participate. Since he was desperate enough to mention me by name, I figured he really needed the help. Badly.
So I made this penthouse styled apartment. I warned him that my already mediocre skills were incredibly rusty after taking a hiatus from making levels for almost two years.
If MetHy decides to include this thing with the final release, he can answer for it.
Thanks to MetHy and Puritan for looking this over and helping point out the rust that needed to be knocked off.

This map was made by Forge and is part of the Duke4 community episode "Duke Hard".

It was built starting a template made by Cage. Cage built the starting area (the room with the staircase and elevator) as well as the unreachable outdoor area (the surrounding buildings). Everything else built by Forge.

We have decided to provide this map on Megaton's workshop as a 1 level demo for the episode.

The episode as a whole is NOT compatible with Megaton due to many reasons and we will not upload more maps from the episode on the workshop. Indeed, the maps were made with EDuke32 in mind which means that plenty of things would not look right or even work using Megaton; and the maps were meant to be played as an episode anyway.

However, if you have Megaton installed, you can very easily play the full episode by simply downloading and installing EDuke32 and the episode, and selecting "dukehard" when launching EDuke32.

UPDATE#1 : COOP should work now. If you had already subscribed to the map before the update and want to play it in COOP, you have to do the following :
-Go to your folder Steam\SteamApps\common\Duke Nukem 3D\gameroot\workshop\maps
-Delete folder 276157640 (which is the ID of this map)
-Subscribe to the map again

UPDATE#2 : Added in-game QR Code at the end of the map near the nukebutton. QR Code by Mike Norvak.

ok. i am sick and tired that the map does NOT show up in my user maps

Oh, that's the problem. I'm using a controller so there's no hotkey for it on my controller. I just ran out of shrinker shots and it said I had no ammo for it, but when switching to a different gun it magically said I had ammo for the expander. Weird design. Guess I'm more used to the N64 version that actually separates the two into two different slots.

To switch from shrinker to expander, just press the weapon's key again ("7" by default)

I didn't have much trouble with this map and I'm a very sloppy player. Missed like, maybe ten shots with that damn skrinker. I don't really know how to switch it from shrinker to expander though. Is there some trick to it? Anyways, this map IS pretty tough, but if you brind your A game, aim true, dodge well, pick your weapon wisely, you can get through it. Not bad. Gets a bit easier once you have a little bit of ammo. Although two pipebombs is a little skimpy when you NEED to blow up that one spot but... other than that it's pretty doable. Nothing game breaking or crazy hard.

Updated the map a last time : Added an in-game QR Code (by Mike Norvak) at the very end of the map before the Nukebutton.

To PointsOfXP : You have the shrinker with enough ammo, and just before the pigcops there is a pistol, too.
There is also a hidden shotgun in a secret place somewhere before that.

There is absolutly no way to play this map without a super weapon. I cant even get past the first few pigs.
