Start The LEGO® Movie

Change your screen resolution to 1280 x 720

Open the game again

Change the resolution back to your old screen resolution

Go back in the game and have fun!

Start The LEGO® Movie

Start the game, after that it will minimize. Don't close it!

Change your screen resolution to 1280 x 720

Now you change your resolution to 1280 x 720

To change the Resolution:

1. Right click on a empty space on the desktop and click on Screen Resolution.

2. Select the monitor Display you want to change the screen resolution for.

3. Change it to the right resolution (1280 x 720)

4. Apply

Open the game again

If you open the game now it will hopefully not minimize again.

Now you need to start a new game and wait until you can press ESC. (Because you can't change the video-settings in the main menu)

Go to Options -> video-settings

Now set it to your preferred screen resolution.

After that Alt+tab out.

Change the resolution back to your old screen resolution

See the second step.

Go back in the game and have fun!

Play the game.

I set mine to 1600x900 because 1900x1080 gave me less fps with reshade. Yes I use ReShade

The game boots properly and doesn't minimize but when I try to change the resolution the game goes black except for the ui, any ideas?

I also learned that you cannot adjust the resolution on the main menu but when you start the game and go into options in the pause menu you can change the resolution there
