Tbh, I think combat is a little too easy right now.
I assume it's possible to get your hero to 300 profile and 600 menace and then run around the border of the map. I once got a warlord that high due to starting the killing spree with the +2 stats water and 3 ogres, but I didn't think of running around to waste everyone's time permanently.
I feel like the cursed is worse and more unwieldly than an orc but that's just me. I only ever use her as a spawn-anywhere suicide attacker to block a heroes action.
You totally don't need to do this, just rush for the baroness and have her kill everything. The only combat power that matters in the game is her rat power, because it lets you do multiple rounds of combat a turn rather then having to fuck off every five seconds when your middle rank dies and cycle multiple combat heroes or whatever.
>Because you get new rats every fight, you can attack any number of heroes in a turn.
>Because the most damage you can take is the middle minion hitting you once (if you don't kill it e.g. it's a paladin and you're level 1 no items, or they have an escort) you can always flee turn 1. Losing all your minions doesn't matter because you just generate new rats. This pushes you onto a new (random) tile, which can give you a fresh list of heroes to attack.
>Once you have shields you don't need to be in the dark to avoid taking damage from knights/paladins turn1. Might doesn't help you here because they'll always get a fresh knight to hit you if you kill their middle rank and they have an escort, you HAVE to have 4 defense.
>If you attack someone with an escort and a middle slot, you can't make progress because the middle knight fills in after the baroness kills it. Don't do this.
>If an escort attacks YOU, then you'll kill the knight on the first turn and it won't fill in when you flee. Now, take the baroness and go back and attack the hero. You'll get one hit in before they fill in with a knight. In addition to you being able to kill heroes by doing this multiple times, a damaged hero will often bail to heal and then lose the escort. Once you have 13 might or whatever and can kill heroes with high HP+def this gets super trivial but I rarely wait that long to start killing.
