The Fix
1. Navigate to the game's installation directory. If you installed Steam in its default directory, it should be the following:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Assassin's Creed Revelations\


2. Look for the file systemdetection.dll and delete it:




3. Load up the game and enjoy it without any annoying character lag.

Run it on Windows 7 compatibility. Go to the Local Files find the application hit properties and then in the compatibility tab choose to run in windows 7. Worked for me because the system detection DDL file wasnt there for me

The character lag is not because of this file's existance. It just lags cause the game is running on modern hardware and the animations are locked at 60fps anything more and the animation just lags. Disable vsync. cap it to 60

This file doesn't seem to exist inside the game installation folder anymore.

I myself did not delete this file, but rather renamed it systemdetection_0.dll. This works perfectly fine.

omg thank you so much, I couldn't get past one off the first missions where you had to drive a wagon, i just kept going left without touching any of te controls and evertually i would fall trough the world. this fixed it
