This missile is for anti ship. However, it can have the chance to knock down a aircraft which is not pulling too hard.

the top range before the boosters run out is around 5.5 km
top speed is about 349 M/S.

The radar range is about 3.2 km, don't think that's its limit. It is possible to be able to hit those 5.5 km shots. It only depends on how you launch the missile.
