Necrovision is a very fun first person shooter made by The Farm 51, former Painkiller devs also known for games like Get Even and Chernobylite. However, despite the cool setting and fun gameplay, it obviously had not enough time for development or a lack of funds (or both), and is very buggy and unstable. Funnily enough; the skills, perks, and weapon variety in Payday 2 can allow for some pretty close gameplay in our favorite bank robbing simulator.

You also have 29 perk points remaining, allowing for some flexibility and the ability to spec into perks you want/need!
>You can even squeeze this down to 40 free points if you take 'Hostage Taker' Basic & 'Martial Arts' Basic!

This build works fine up to mayhem difficulty (I recommend Overkill) as is without speccing the extra points, but I have yet to test it on higher difficulties. It's also not meant to be meta! Also, it can be painful before you get Jokers, so get them ASAP!

Infiltrator is perfect for this build as it's in similar spirit to the game; it gives you damage resistance when up close to enemies, and health regen when melee attacking, encouraging aggressive gameplay.

One of the abilities you eventually get in the game is the ability to raise the dead to do your bidding! Jokers are about as intelligent as zombies, and will fight to the end in your name!

More damage and damage resistance when near enemies (underdog), reinforcing the close and aggressive style of infiltrator. When preforming combos or headshots in Necrovision, you are given brief moments of massive damage reduction (Bullseye)

In Necrovision it's common for weapons to stagger but not kill enemies (heavy impact), opening them up for a melee finisher. Also, shooting armored enemies does the same damage regardless of where you hit them. (Surefire aced)

More movespeed, like any good oldschool FPS (parkour), also more staggering enemies like in the Technician tree. (dire need)

Strong melee attacks (pumping iron) are a necessity, getting melee kills allows for fast reloads (bloodthirst) which is nice to have, and is keeping in theme as combos in Necrovision allow for instant weapon reloads.

- Not from the game but period correct (Necrovision has a Gewehr 1898 and SMLE Mk.III), the bayonet is good with infiltrator's health regen and bloodthirst's reload bonus! Think of it as a spear that shoots people! (Bayonet, Iron Sights)






- The KSP 58 isn't from the game obviously, but fills the gameplay slot of a high damage hipfire LMG. (Funnel of Fun Nozzle, Lion Bipod)

- Not exactly an MP 18, but is a side loading SMG with similar mag size and firerate. (Suppressed Barrel, Extended Magazine, Solid Stock)

For melee, the best bet is the standard gun melee, but a Shovel or Lucille bat (trench club) also work and keep in the game's spirit!


For throwables, Dynamite is great and something you use often throughout the game, but grenades or even shurikens work too if you prefer those!

Necrovision has ragdoll collision and some of the goofiest ragdoll physics I've ever seen, this mod adds some of that into Payday and really shows how dumb the police AI is...
