@Anval Thawn Heretic is a doom clone, as is Hexen. Hexen 2 uses the same engine as Quake hence on this list.

As for those complaining about Ultrakill being on this list - you have never played Quake deathmatch it seems. Its absolutely plays and feels like Quake

What's up with the sudden barrage of people being so up their own ass about ULTRAKILL being on this list lol? Sure, the title is a little misleading, since a lot of these games are not outright Quake clones, but are just inspired by it.

To the author: just ignore these whiny Quake elitists in your comments. You made a nice list to get more people to explore more awesome games that variably share Quake's qualities

Ultrakill is far from a quake clone, its one hell of a disgrace to quake and what it is.

@Butterscotch killing enemies meanwhile you try to get the red/blue skull its pretty much the same gameplay you have with quake and the keys, ultrakill just have their own mechanics which make it quite different, silly
