Enabling Cheats
  • Click at the top left corner of the main menu to enable cheats. You should see 2.9.8C at the bottom right corner of the screen. If your version doesn't have the C, then continue clicking around the top left corner until finding the correct spot.


Thanks to alphabetsoup for finding the spot on the current build.

Athens Playthrough: Part I
  • Click on PLAY.
  • CREATE → ATHENS → HARD → ANY PERK → ANY NAME → CREATE.
  • START.

Warning: Whatever you do, never click the HELP button or cheats will be completely disabled for the current playthrough.

  • Click on TECHS → research all technologies.


  • Click on WORLD → explore all locations, starting with the nearby ones (red title).


  • After discovering the whole map, click on the locations with red title and COLONIZE each, choosing a different colony for each (FOOD, TRADE, PRODUCTION, MILITARY). Make sure to get all four different colonies in your map.
  • Upgrade each location a few times (10 is a good number).
  • Click on END TURN 1.

Click on BUILDINGS → build as many structures as you can, re-entering the menu each time.


  • Click on DIPLOMACY → choose any city → RELATIONS → SEND GIFTS until PROPOSE ALLIANCE is unlocked → PROPOSE ALLIANCE.
  • Repeat for all cities.


  • Click on END TURN 2.

  • Click on BUILDINGS → build everything else.
  • Back at your city (click on the X if you're in any menu), adjust all sliders all the way to the right.


  • Click on END TURN 3.

  • Keep ending turns until 30.
  • DORIAN INVASION: ENGAGE IN BATTLE

First Trial Complete the trial Dorian Invasion.


  • Choose any reward.

  • Keep ending turns until 52.
  • PERSIAN INVASION: PREVENT CROSSING

Protect the Country Complete the trial Persian Invasion.


  • Keep ending turns until 57.
  • ALEXANDER THE GREAT: SEND GOLD until Success Change is 100% or above. Click on the X to close the menu.

  • Keep ending turns until 69.
  • GREEK EAST: All resources growth +20%.

Revenge of the Greeks! Complete the trial Greek Campaign.


  • Keep ending turns until 80.
  • ROMAN MENACE: ATTACK FIRST → ENGAGE IN BATTLE.

Clash of Civilizations Complete the trial Roman Menace.


  • Keep ending turns until 132.
  • Click on the skull on the left side of the screen.
  • SCYTHIAN INVASION: BRIBE THE OSTROGOTHS, THE DACIANS, and the SARMATIANS until decimating their numbers.
  • Once all three tribes are in single digits, click on ATTACK BARBARIANS → ENGAGE IN BATTLE.

External Threat Complete the trial Scythian Invasion.


  • Keep ending turns until 145.
  • CHRISTIANITY: SHOW INTEREST

  • Keep ending turns until 166.
  • SUCCESSFUL CHRISTIANIZATION.

Shepherd Complete the trial Christianity.


  • Choose any reward.

  • Keep ending turns until 169.
  • Click on the skull at the left side of the screen.
  • HUNS INVASION: BRIBE until Huns Army is 0, then ATTACK FIRST → ENGAGE IN BATTLE.

Great Devastation Complete the trial Huns Invasion.
Athens Playthrough: Part II
  • Keep ending turns until 209.
  • JUSTINIAN PLAGUE: ISOLATE INFECTED and EVACUATE until running out.
  • Close menu with X.
  • Keep ending turns until 214.
  • JUSTINIAN PLAGUE: ISOLATE INFECTED and EVACUATE until running out.
  • Keep ending turns until 219.

Doctor is coming! Complete the trial Justinian Plague.


  • Keep ending turns until 227.
  • ARABIAN INVASION: SEND GIFTS until chance is 0% and INCREASE TRADE until force is -0.
  • Keep ending turns until 237.
  • Click on the skull at the left side of the screen: SEND GIFTS until chance is 0% and INCREASE TRADE until force is -0.
  • Keep ending turns until 247.
  • Click on the skull at the left side of the screen: SEND GIFTS until chance is 0% and INCREASE TRADE until force is -0.
  • Keep ending turns until 257.
  • Click on the skull at the left side of the screen: SEND GIFTS until chance is 0% and INCREASE TRADE until force is -0.
  • Keep ending turns until 267.
  • DECISIVE BATTLE: ENGAGE IN BATTLE

East vs West Complete the trial Arab Invasion.


  • Keep ending turns until 270.
  • THE CONQUEST OF THE WORLD: Close the menu by clicking the X.
  • DIPLOMACY: LARISSA → RELATIONS → SEND GIFTS until PROPOSE ALLIANCE is unlocked → PROPOSE ALLIANCE.
  • Close menu by clicking the X twice.
  • Click the fourth icon [↑↑↑].
  • THE CONQUEST OF THE WORLD: UNITE CITIES → BIND CULTURE → CONNECT TRADE → DEFENCE CURCUIT.

Conqueror Unite the world.
Archon Beat the game for Athens.
Great Ruler Get more than 40 final score points.
Demigod Get more than 90 final score points.
Immortal Get more than 150 final score points.
Athena the Wise Get 200 final score points playing for Athens on Hard difficulty.
Zeus the Great Get maximum final score points without using Civilization Points on Hard difficulty.
Sparta Playthrough
  • Click on PLAY.
  • CREATE → SPARTA → HARD → ANY PERK → ANY NAME → CREATE.
  • START.

  • Click on DIPLOMACY → PELLA → ATTACK → CONQUER → ENGAGE IN BATTLE → repeat until conquering.

I've been trying this guide a few times and am having difficulty with the ending. I win, but it is too many turns late, so my score is low. The only achievement I am not getting is Ares the Ruthless. Does anyone have an idea as to why? The very last step in this guide seems like there should be more steps after THE SPLIT OF THE ARAB CALIPHATE: UNITE CITIES → BIND CULTURE → CONNECT TRADE.

Same here as well, -In the Sparta Playthrough, TROY appeared on 91

Thanks for the guide, you kept me alive in the bron battle royale. :D
Some notes:
-In the Sparta Playthrough, TROY appeared on 91, not 90 for me (both times).
-After Hegemon, save and exit and conquering MILETUS again, maybe add a note to choose IT'S TOO EARLY or close the menu with X? Both the EMPIRE and KINGDOM options from LET'S DO IT change the game where you are no longer playing Sparta. I ended up choosing KINGDOM and having to restart.
