How not to bother your friends with Warrior Priest achievements

Some of my best friends are robots
I'm only writing this short guide because the pseudo-official one declares that Holy Warrior can't be done with bots.

Old-fashioned Learning
This WP achievement requires you to hit 60 targets simultaneously with the Heavy 2 attack of the Tome.

1. Equip a Ranger Veteran, Huntsman and Handmaiden bot with crafting gear. Assign them respectively a 1H Axe, 2H Hammer and Elven Axe. Mind that their skills do not include any THP generation or damage reduction.

2. Play "Into the Nest" on Champion. This map has two ideal locations where you can perform the achievement, and the plan is the same for either: wait for the bots to die, then let the enemies gather in a hyperdensity, bubble yourself and smash them. To pick Champion difficulty is not a strict requirement, but you need to strike a deal between having a game not too hard for you to solo a short portion of the map, and not so easy that bots may never die.

3. The first location is right at the beginning of the map:
Climb all the way up, wait for bots to die in combat, then bubble yourself and jump down for your Thor impersonation. This place is ideal because the bots AI gets confused and won't fight to the best of their ability.

4. The second location is shortly afterwards, before you get the first grimoire:
The process is the same: let the bots die, wait for the horde to reach hyperdensity, then bubble yourself and jump down for a big bash. You might prefer this area because enemies are easier to cluster up, but the fact that bots will fight much better here can be detrimental.

Holy Warrior
This WP achievement requires you to bubble someone, who in turn has to kill 50 enemies while the shield is still up. The intended way to do so with players, is to bubble a melee DPS and let him wreak havoc: whilst using bots you will need a specific setup.

1. For your Warrior Priest, get a charm with Decanter in order to extend the effect of concentration potions, and select "Unyielding Blessing" in the last tier of the skill tree.

2. Equip a Shade bot with dual swords and either javelin or moonfire bow. Anti-skaven, anti-infantry bonuses won't hurt. My shade had Cloak of Mist, but I don't think she actually used it.

3. Equip an Huntsman and a Ranger Veteran bots with crafting gear with no bonuses. The least effective weapon you pick for them, the better. Also, make sure they can't generate THP via talents.

4. Play "Into the Nest" on Veteran and do whatever you can to get Kruber and Bardin dead by the time you get to the final boss. Never assist them, let them tank monsters, steal their heal items etc. When they're down, play seriously and get the Shade bot alone safely to the exit, preferably holding 2 concentration potions.

5. Right before entering the portal, that's the place where you're making your stand for the achievement. The game will keep throwing specials and hordes at you, but they all come from the same door and pose no threat. Hordes in particular have incredibly high density and jump down a singular, narrow spot on the right.

6. Wait for the horde to get in your face and throw the 8s shield at the bot. She will start fighting, while you gulp the concentration potion (and possibly a second one, later) and keep spamming the shield at her. All of her kills are valid for the achievement, until you hear the shield explosion at the end. You can probably drag the shield spam for 30 seconds, but it should be done in 10.

Old fashioned learning is possible to get that way but nigh impossible to keep due to gutter runners and packmasters accumulating shortly after I got it despite having like 3 FPS at the first grimoire location, then packmaster grabbed me, died to shield of faith and got immediately grabbed by 1 of 2 gutter runners camping my body. Trolling silly game really hates success.

Thanks for the advice. Achievements like this frustrate me. Not only is it not possible to get in normal gameplay, it takes exploiting AND luck. If it weren´t for the sweet frame I wouldn´t bother.

It may take a few tries. Don't try to hit the horde from the slope: bubble yourself and jump in the middle of the horde, on plain ground where the slaverats can stack all around you.

This isn´t working for me. More specifically, for Old Fashioned Learning, there never seem to be more than 20-30 rats grouped up beneath the jump points. I know there are more, I can hear them in the distance, they just never come closer until the others are already dead no matter how long I wait. Also, the ones that are there spread out all over the place, so I cannot get all of them in a single hit.

You can also reset their talents by rightclicking the selected talent.
There is also the issue of pathfinding, when you are in that spot on the rock only one to reach you is the Gutter Runner. Everyone else just stays where they spawn.
For me the most damage they take is from hordes. Specials only do damage to them when the bots brainfart and all run into a ratling trying to melee it.

I see, this is concerning: I will have to update the guide on the matter. To minimize bot survivability, my suggestion is to:
1. Pick Ranger Veteran, Huntsman and Handmaiden. It is a compromise of sorts between classes with low HP, and ults that wouldn't be as effective in this situation.
2. Pick no talents that grant THP, extra health or damage reduction.
3. Give bots your crafting gear in order to keep their hero power low. As for weapons: 1H axe for Bardin, 2H hammer for Kruber, Elven Axe for Kerillian.
4. As usual with bots, most of the damage against them comes from specials during hordes. I wouldn't expect them to last 40 minutes on Champion, like this: the obvious drawback is that you will have to solo a short part of the level afterwards, which will be definitely be worse than Veteran.

They do bunch up in the corner but they still fight like friggin lions. Takes 40 minutes for them to die and then I get grabbed by one of the three packmasters that have spawned and stuck in a corner somewhere.
