A change to the lobby was introduced in March 2021.
It allows us to get back into the game by pressing 1, 2, 3, or the spacebar.
It works even if a button is held before entering the lobby, and can be held for 23 hours.
Extremely useful for relogging quickly, but even better for AFKing.
You can weigh down these keys to actually AFK certain activities.
(But you shouldn't wink wink)

When a non-item action bar bind is pressed (abilities, prayers, etc.), it will only activate once. E.g.

• Hold Shark action bar bind → You will eventually eat every Shark in your inventory.
  
• Hold Soul Split action bar bind → You will activate, but not deactivate, Soul Split.

This is the lowest level method available.

• A Passive Saradomin Godsword
  
• Alternatively: A Saradomin/Zamorakian equip and turn Automatically trigger regenerate on.

Equipping certain Saradomin or Zamorak item makes Desert Bandits permanently aggressive.

• Stand around the southern/eastern edge of the Kharidian Bandit Camp.[runescape.wiki]
  
• Weigh down 1, 2, 3, or spacebar, and walk away from your computer.

As of December 2023, Membership gives you an extended logout timer.
This method is no longer viable because of how time sensitive this is.

This should profit 300K+/hr with drop cleaners. I don't actually have best-in-slot prayer, so I can't confirm this works 100%, plus the offhand weapon degrades, so it's not perpetual.

+5: A Rex Matriarch ring

+46: Full Dragonrider gear (Helmet/Body/Legs/Amulet + Superior boots/gloves)

• You CANNOT do this on a Jagex Account.

Having a Jagex Account extends your AFK logout timer from 5 minutes to 10.
Your prayer will have a small amount of downtime, usually around the 4 minute mark, shortly before your Ancient Elven Ritual Shard reactivates. This reactivation window is very important, as it gives you time to restore prayer points from the shard after hitting 0 points, but before being lobbied, letting you reactivate Soul Split by the time you cycle your login.

Put Ancient Elven Ritual Shard and Soul Split on your action bar.
Stand in the southernmost house in Darkmeyer with 1 Vyre spawn in it.
Weigh down those 2 keys and hope you don't die.

A change to "lobby prayers" made in January 2024 makes this method unviable.

This gives the best XP out of all these methods.

• PC: Runescape has to be the focused window.
  
• Mobile: Runescape has to be the active app.
  
• For combat-related methods, turn on auto-retaliate.
  
• Silverhawk Boots are excellent with certain methods.
  
• Scavenging perk is very useful.
  
• Legendary pets may be worth using for some methods.
  
• Gold accumulator barely matters.
  
• Bonecrusher is sometimes useful.
  
• Prayer/scrimshaws deactivate when you get lobbied; weigh down those binds!
  
• This method has existed since March 1 2021.
  I discovered this on the 6th while trying to AFK Archeology :^)
  
• Bandits, Vyres, and Ravenous Ghouls are the only viable option I know of.
  Nothing else can really continue to give XP once you get lobbied once.
  You could try aggression potion reservoirs/restocking cannon unlock, but those last <1 hour

Jagex totally needs us to keep the Steam charts and Playstore numbers up there, right?.
Surely they won't remove this 9-month old technique or punish anyone for it. Happy AFKing. :)
