Introduction
This guide aims to teach/inform players what every single item, potion, gauntlet, etc does and how to unlock them. Number specific stats are guesswork or not included because I do not currently know where the stats are stored in the files. Feedback and suggestions welcome.
  • Some floors have a lower and higher level in them, Bottom and Top are used to refer to them to make reading the guide simpler. Fire and/or Ice for floor 4.
  • On Floor 5, there's a wall that has some items and a Nightwatchman on it. You access this wall from the bottom left corner of the map, opposite the tomb's entrance.
All other items that require additional steps to find have the information in their section.

Gauntlets
All of the Gauntlets currently obtainable. Refer to Armour Pieces category for unlock details.

Golden Gladiator
Starter Gauntlets, 2nd highest attack damage of all the gauntlets. Default charge attack, uppercut and forward attacks. 3 Spec slots, 3 Spec meter.

Gamblin' Gunslinger
Unlocked in Egypt, lowest? attack of all gauntlets, but gives the highest speed and allows the user to sprint backwards and forwards. 2 Spec Slots, 3 Spec meter.
  • Sprinting forward into an enemy knocks them backwards if possible. Charge attack replaced with near instant "bullet" punch that has 3-4? tiles of range.

Leather Manhandler
Unlocked in Swamp, Highest attack of all gauntlets, makes the user incredibly slow but immune to weak knockback. 2 Spec slots, 2 Spec meter.
  • Regular attacks replaced with charge attack, which can be charged up to increase damage, while also allowing the user to move while doing so.
  • Uppercut replaced with middle finger, does regular attack damage but angers any enemy hit, increasing their damage taken, dealt, and how much damage is required to stun them.

Stalwart Samurai
Unlocked in Colosseum, tied at 3rd highest attack? while slightly slower than default, gives the user the ability to freeze an enemy or light them on fire. 1 Spec slot, 2 Spec meter.
  • Element can be determined by Gauntlet colour. Gauntlets are imbued by hitting an enemy 8 times and when imbued, emit smoke or snowflake particles. Block can be held to use half a speciality bar to instantly imbue the gauntlets. Hits needed and the imbued state itself are kept between fights.
  • Elemental attack is used by hitting an enemy with a charged attack or parrying a melee attack while the gauntlets are imbued. Effect can be swapped by parrying while not imbued, or by hitting an imbued charged attack.
  • Enemies on fire take damage over time, while enemies that are frozen are completely frozen, only unfreezing when hit or after 12 seconds/game ticks.

Viceral Viceroy
Unlocked in Graveyard, 2nd lowest attack? with default speed, almost completely changes the users attacks. 3 Spec slots, 24 base hp.
  • Specialities no longer use the spec meter, using 12 hp instead.
  • Charge attack is replaced with an attack that grabs and holds an enemy, damaging and leeching one health point a second. On the 4th hit the enemy will be launched back, doing regular? charge attack damage and leeching 3 health points instead.
  • Forward attack removed, instead the player can double tap forwards to jump into the air, becoming immune to damage until they hit the ground or use the air attack. Attacking while in the air will slash downwards, knocking enemies down if possible.
  • Uppercut is replaced with an attack that slashes upwards, leaving the player in the air. Being in the air does not make the player immune to damage if done through this attack.

Polygon Pugilist
Unlocked in Cyberspace, tied with default? for 2nd highest attack, and "normal" speed. 5 Speciality slots, 4 Spec meter.
  • Completely changes how the user turns and walks, imitating older games where movement was instant and turning was slow and had few frames.
  • Attacks are all normal, except that the user's fists will always hit enemies within 5-6? tiles, while the user can sit back safe from harm. Enemies will still walk towards and target the user.
  • Speciality select is constantly spinning, making it hard to select a specific speciality.
  • Shows information on the enemy in front of the user, such as health, current state, PP and TP.
    • Health is Health
    • State indicates what the enemy is currently doing, such as attacking, being stunned, being knocked down or back, etc
    • Poise Points indicates how much damage the enemy needs to take to reach a stunned state, with 1 actually being 0
    • TP indicates how much time has passed since the enemy last performed an action.
Specialities
Star-eyed Special
Unlocked by default, Button mash minigame. Shows a bar that says Mash.
  • Mash the punch key to punch enemies in front of the user incredibly fast. Faster mashing is needed over time until not humanly possible to continue.

100-inch Punch
Found in the Potion Seller's building, Timing minigame. Shows a bar with a blue bar on one side that changes when hit correctly, and an orange bar indicating when you need to punch.
  • Time your punches so that the orange bar is inside the blue bar to charge up the strength of your punch, up to 6 times. If pressed too early or if you let the orange bar hit the edge, the skill is activated.
  • When activated, the enemy in front of the user is punched for large damage and knocked back, dealing damage to enemies behind it.

Clock Knocker
Found on floor 1, 55,65 bottom, Timing minigame. Shows two fists on the left and right, with one saying Punch, and a pointer in the middle.
  • Time your punch to be on the correct fist 6 times to fully charge the skill. Letting the pointer pass the fist or punching too early will activate the skill early.
  • When activated, hits the enemy in front of the user and bounces them left and right, doing good damage to it and any enemies it hits.

Kongo Wollop
Found on floor 2, 46,62 top, Hold and Release minigame. Shows a bar with a fist saying Hold.
  • Holding the punch key and releasing it will knock enemies down, slightly damaging them. Releasing it at the top of the bar will knock most/all? enemies down.

Flying Divider
Found on floor 3, 21,50 bottom, No minigame.
  • Activate this skill to run behind the enemy furthest in the back. Does slight damage to enemies hit on the way.

Sonic Slicer
Found on floor 5, 29,63 on wall, Pattern minigame. Shows an arrow on the screen that must be pressed in an order such as down, right, up, left, down, etc.
  • Activates after X seconds, launches a projectile that deals damage based on how much the skill was wound up during the minigame at whatever enemy is in front of the user.

Devilish Daunt
Found on floor 4, 29,40 fire&ice, Pattern minigame. Shows an arrow that must be pressed in an order such as down, left, right, up, punch.
  • Activates after X seconds unless the 5 button combo is entered.
  • When activated, angers enemies based on how many buttons were pressed, angering all? if minigame was activated correctly.

Screaming Scallion
Found on floor 4, 42,3 fire&ice, Button mash minigame. Shows a crosshair.
  • Punch key needs to be mashed to charge it up, activating after X seconds.
  • When activated, the user will scream and enemies will be scared away, no longer needing to be defeated to end the fight (I have no idea what enemies actually get scared away so this part needs some help, might be a threshold that needs to be reached)

Stooge Manuever
Found on floor 6, 17,47, Timing minigame. Shows a crosshair with a smaller crosshair.
  • The user must punch while the smaller crosshair and larger crosshair are lined up two times. If activated correctly, will instantly kill any non-boss enemy IF they have eyes.
Potions
Regular Potions can be obtained from the Potion bird once she is found on the first floor at X (bottom right somewhere).
  • Once she is sent back to the apothecary, she can be traded monster parts to unlock each potion, after which they can be freely taken as long as the player has space.
  • Fisher Potions can be obtained from the Fisher once he is found on floor 3 and his "questline" is completed. He will be found at a specific spot on each floor, where his version of potions can be obtained. They are not freely given, and have to be purchased with monster parts. His prices start at 1 and increase by 1 every time any potion is purchased.
Healing Potions
Healing Potion: Heals the user for 15 health points unless damaged. Can be found in specific spots on some floors or as Nightwatchmen rescue rewards, but get replaced with Glyph coins in NG+
Fisher's Healing Pot will instantly, fully heal the user, but the user will immediately start losing the health given unless knocked back by an enemy. Does not work with Punk Gloves due to their high poise/inability to be knocked back.
Revival Potions
Revival Potion: If the user dies while holding this potion, the fight is ended and the player is revived with 6 health points, can be drunk at any time to instantly heal 6 health points.
Fisher's Revival Potion will heal the user for 10 upon "death", but won't end the fight. Can be drunk at any time for a random amount of health between 3 and 9.
Defense Potions
Defense Potion: Protects the user for 6 hits/18 damage?, preventing knockback and reducing damage to 1 per hit. If active while blocking, only every 3rd hit will do damage, allowing the user to block 18 hits/54 damage?. Can be used outside of a fight to prevent combat for 101 tiles.
Fisher's Defense Potion functions the same as regular but doesn't prevent as many hits/damage. Can be used outside of a fight to prevent combat for 101 tiles.
Attack Potions
Attack Potion will increase the user's damage by x2 for 5? seconds.
Fisher's Attack Potion makes all enemies angry. Doesn't also increase damage?
Time Potions
Time Potion slows down time, allowing the user more time to react. Lasts for X seconds and increases the user's speed for 40 tiles outside of combat .
Fisher's Time potion fluctuates at random, either having no effect or making monsters slower. Lasts for X seconds and slows the user down outside a fight.
Armour Pieces
3 Armour pieces of a specific type are used to unlock new gauntlets.

Players must first unlock the blacksmith by finding him at 25,44 on floor 2 and giving him the Dusty set, after which he will move to town, unlocking fast travel if two Nightwatchmen have been saved.

I.O.U Paper
Found on floor 3, given by the fisher after giving him the correct bait, a Lizard Wizard Tail .
  • Can be given back to the fisher outside in the town to be given a free Fisher's Health Potion and to unlock his shop for future use.

Various Crests
Found on floor 5, 1 is found in each of the 4 tombs.
  • All 4 must be collected to access the final boss and exit. When each of the first 3 are collected, an enemy called the Butcher will spawn in the current crypt and walk towards the player, initiating a fight if they reach them. It is possible for the player to skip all 3, but not recommended. Can be shown to the remaining members of each clan outside town for some extra dialogue?
Big Spoiler items. Spoil at own peril.
Crest of the Nightwatch
Obtained by rescuing all 6 Nightwatchmen (including the Suspicious nightwatch member, Yutrec) and then heading back to town. After the cutscene, Lightkeeper will give the player the Crest.
  • After obtaining the Crest, the heart in the center of your health bar will be covered with a Nightwatch Crest, indicating that it is active.
  • Upon reaching 0 health (not dying) in a battle, all 6 members of the nightwatch will appear behind the player and rush each lane, 3 in each. Each Nightwatchman does incredibly high damage, potentially instant killing the entire field.
Upon use, the glyph will enter a deactivated state, only reactivating if the player rests or enters the town. Will NOT activate if the player is already on 0 hp, you will die.

NG+ stuff down here
Glyph's are purchased with coins from the Barge trader, who appears in town once NG+/Round 2 is started. They take up a potion slot but can be refunded, allowing the player to experiment with different Glyphs and Potions. 96 coins are needed to buy a full inventory of the most expensive glyph.
Coins can be acquired in place of certain collectable's the player should already have, as rewards that would normally give regular potions, and by trading in special enemy parts such as boss parts.

Vital Glyph
Costs 12 coins, Increases health by 2 bars/6 health. An inventory of Vital Gylphs will give the player 84 health while using the Punk Gauntlets, the maximum obtainable.

Essence Glyph
Costs 4 coins, Increases the speciality meter by 1. Does not work with Gothic Gauntlets.

Tension Glyph
Costs 8 coins, Increases movement and all attacks speeds by X% (looks like 10%?)

Bloody Glyph
Costs 10 coins, Increases damage by 25%.

Determination Glyph
Costs 4 coins, Increases the chance the player doesn't lose a fight when hit at 0 hp by X% (seemingly useless, had 7 and died in 2 hits, RNG is RNG though)

Stalwart Glyph
Costs 6 coins, increases the user's knockback resistance by X. Only at most 3 are needed to remove most knockback on all gauntlets.
End of Guide
If anything in the guide is wrong, please write it down in the comments so I can fix it.

Thanks to YinYin down in the comments for all the pictures, wouldn't have bothered with them otherwise.

Fishermans revival potion if activated in combat by "dying" only heals for 3 health upon revival, and this is after using it about three dozen times

this guide is amazing and this information should have been in the game. thank you.

Fixed both, samurai had wrong bits and bad wording, changed viceroy to mention how the invuln works.
mayonaise  [作者] 2022 年 1 月 28 日 上午 1:10
Backwards jump on viceroy is super dodgy, pretty sure forwards run is completely safe though. Have to reread/write samurai if you're assuming i said its unpredictable, might not have updated it properly cause they're my least favourite gauntlets
Captain Norrec 2022 年 1 月 28 日 上午 1:01
Really digging how informative this was, especially seeing as how I didn't really know what all the fisherman's potions did.

Although, I will say, judging from personal experience, it appears that the elemental attacks for the Stalwart Samurai aren't actually unpredictable, but rather triggered whenever you successfully parry or do a charge attack, though it also takes up a little bit of your specialty meter in order to work, which is why it sometimes just doesn't occur. Not exactly sure how much it takes, or if light attacks can charge it, but that's the whole basis of it..

Only other thing I vividly recall is that I've been knocked out of the air on more than one occasion when using the Visceral Viseroy's jump attack, though it's mainly been dealing with bosses and projectiles, so I'd assume that it's at least immune to melee damage. Hopefully those tidbits can help, and of course, do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong for either case.
mayonaise  [作者] 2022 年 1 月 3 日 上午 6:33
If its still broken/bugged, you become invincible. Otherwise not really, only two enemies i found can knock you down with 4 equip
Jenno 2022 年 1 月 3 日 上午 6:24
is there a point in stacking stalwart where you become immune to knock down entirely? or are there moves that guarantee knockdown?
- ̗̀n o o k ̖́- 2021 年 12 月 26 日 上午 4:12
Sorry I keep calling them armours. I meant the gauntlets, but I realised there are descriptions of those. Thank you for the guide.
mayonaise  [作者] 2021 年 12 月 25 日 下午 9:39
the armours are ONLY used to unlock gauntlets*, they don't do anything otherwise that isnt mentioned in the gauntlet category.
