New Little Odessa, but a little more normal.

If you would like a winter version, check out this map here.

//Requirements//
Nothing should be required as it should all be packed into the bsp. The map file itself should be "gm_coast_nlo_prewar_v2", minus the quotation marks.

Do note that while no game should be required, the size and scope of the map might cause some issues for users on lower end PCs despite rigorous optimization. As well, be aware that despite attempts to prevent conflicts, other workshop items might still conflict with assets used in the map.

//Gameplay//
  • Raised the water level back to something closer to normal. This includes putting boats back into dock and buoys out in the water to show map limits.
  • Houses are fixed.
  • Two locations to teleport to including a wooden dock near NLO and the tunnel.
  • Large map with big open water areas. Perfect for boats and other aquatic vehicles.
  • Fixed the proper roadway so it loops all the way around the map.
  • Wooden docks and walkways have been fixed a bit to allow easier traversal.
  • AI nodes. Air and ground.

While in the Gmod Sandbox mode, any dead bodies, blood stains, activated map scripts or other changes can be cleaned/reset using this: Pressing Q -> Utilities -> Admin -> Cleanup -> Cleanup Everything

//Development//
This pre-war coast map actually spawned out of the last one. While experimenting with how much I could add on to that, I had started fleshing out NLO. Unfortunately, do to some limitations I had to axe it from there. However, the layout of d2_coast_03 worked really well on it's own, so I took that original work and brought it here.

I think this will work well for some screenshots and roleplaying scenarios. Or testing out vehicle addons.

//Closing//
I think this smaller format for pre-war maps works a lot better and I think this will be my format going forward. However, this will be the last pre-war map for the year. This is because I will be switching to a slightly larger project that I think will knock some socks off.

Thank you to Thomas Connell for making the amazing buttons you see above and Valve for making some great assets and a great engine!

Good map but NPCs is always falling from the map because of bad landscape, and navmesh on this map is bad

Its interesting, the workshop conflicts referenced in the description also applies to replacer addons. They dont work and they revert back to the original props
