Greninja sneaks their way into Rivals of Aether!

While inspired by their moveset in Smash bros, Greninja brings a bunch of new mechanics in their specials to spice up their gameplay.

Greninja charges up compressed water into throwing stars and throws them at opponents. There are 3 levels of power depending on how long you charge, and the charge can be stored by pressing shield, similar to Ranno's needles.

Greninja extends their shadow in front of him, before teleporting to the shadow and performing an attack. You can input a direction while teleporting to perform a unique attack in that direction.

Greninja creates a Substitute doll. The doll can be hit by both Greninja and opponents. While the doll is active, Shadow Sneak will teleport to the doll's location instead. The doll will even emit a stun hitbox upon Shadow Sneak activation that can catch opponents for a guaranteed followup. There is also a counter window at the beginning of the move, getting hit will cancel into Shadow Sneak.

Greninja shoots a jet of water, propelling it into the air. The jet can be aimed in 8 directions, and the water jet has a hitbox that launches in different directions depending on the angle. You can press Special during the endlag of USpecial to cancel into Shadow Sneak.

When the Substitute doll is active, pressing Special while hitting an opponent or the doll will automatically cancel the move into Shadow Sneak, teleporting to the doll in the process. If the doll is hit with the up/down versions of Shadow Sneak, continuing holding Special will perform another Shadow Sneak attack. Be careful, as the doll will be destroyed when hit by Shadow Sneak.
