As of May 7, 2023, Orteil has removed Rich Presence support from Cookie Clicker. This means that the Steam version of this mod will use the app that listed in this guide to provide the Rich Presence.

Update - January 5, 2022

As of December 24, 2021, Orteil has added native Rich Presence and Workshop support to Cookie Clicker (v2.043). This means that the guide below is only meant for Steam users on version 2.042 and browser users.

If you want to be able to customize your Rich Presence status, please look at the workshop item I have submitted here!

• Java 8 or higher
  
• CCSE mod installed
  
• Rich Presence Mod

1. Make sure you have Java installed on your computer. (Anything that's Java 8 or higher will work fine). To make sure that you have java, open up CMD and type in "java -version". If a version of Java prints out, that means Java was installed properly.

2. Subscribe to both CCSE and Rich Presence mods in the workshop.

3. Download the Rich Presence App here[github.com]. You want to get the exe file that has "Windows" in its name.

4. Put the CookieClickerRPC.exe file somewhere you can easily access it. Then open the program. Upon opening it, you should see some text output like this.




5. Go to the "Options" tab of Cookie Clicker. Click on the "Manage Mods" button in the Mods section.

6. Enable both "CCSE" and "Discord Rich Presence". Note: If you are using the Cookie Monster mod, you'd want to load that mod last, after CCSE and Discord Rich Presence. See screenshot below:



7. Lastly, click on Restart with new changes.

If everything was set up properly, you should see your Rich Presence show up on Discord like so:
